Seems a little similar to the deal xHonusx put up with. We had a buyer and contract in place. Once they started processing things, they found a short
sale occurrence in our buyer's past. It was 2.5 years and in order to qualify for an FHA loan, you need a 3 year window.
Needless to say the deal is deal. Back to square one. We were to be our of our house by 11-30. We hadn't found a house to buy so we were free agents.
On the positive, we found out now before we had everything packed up or a contract written on another property.
