Stupid 3 month SirusXM trial...

XnMeX - 12-7-2011 at 12:01 PM

My newish vehicle has bulit in sat radio and I got a free tril thing in the mail saying all I had to do was tune in and I get 3 months free. The shitty part... no Howard Stern... Really? You want to try and sell me on your service and you leave out the most popular stations? Well, I guess I will have 3 months of Raw Dog comedy which if it is like I remember, I will get sick of from the repetition within the 3 months.

Yeah, "adult" comedy. Some decent stuff, all it is are just comedians that don't mind liberal use of the "7 words".

it must be an XM radio that you have. The merger of XM and Sirius was complete BULLSHIT! It is still run as 2 companies and the customers didnt benefit at all!

If you have an XM radio and you want to hear Howard Stern you have to pay extra for the 'Best of Sirius' package. If you have a Sirius radio and you want you hear Opie & Anthony you have to pay for the 'Best of XM' package.

Also their custimer service sucks & their smartphone app sucks! If it wasnt for my 'life time' subscription and Howard I wouldnt be a customer!

I am just using the free trial. I had XM a few years back and barely used it other than 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening which is probably the same as I will use it now for the trial. Heard some nice Patton Oswalt I had not heard yet so that was nice, I still need to get his newest album.

I believe Nick and Artie's show is now on XM only as well. The whole Sirius/Xm thing is a load of bullshit.

doesnt matter if its just a trial, you get either an XM trial or a Sirius trial. If you dont have Howard then it must be an XM trial.

I get Nick & Artie streaming on their website and it works on a mobile device so thats cool.

Ok, I have heard a Geico comercial and an Xbox comercial so far and I have just had the thing a few dyas... So, you pay for comercial free radio that still has comercials on some chanels? I'm not talking DJ live reads either, i', talking full out 30 second spots. Fuck everything about this.

BDx13 - 12-9-2011 at 11:14 AM

does regular satellite have that, or is it just part of the trial?

lifeisabitch - 12-9-2011 at 11:30 AM

some stations have it. raw dog and howard...
it's very lame
i like it for long road trips so I don't have to bring a large stash of my own music...
and they do play music I don't own on occasion so everyone once and a while it's a nice surprise

BDx13 - 12-9-2011 at 11:35 AM

you dudes need to stop saying' raw dog'
that is the gayest shit i've ever heard.

XnMeX - 12-9-2011 at 12:53 PM

Are you picturing a guy in a pink polo, popped collar, spiked hair saying "Bro, I just hit that shit Raw Dog kid!". Sounds like a "bro" phrase to me...
