I'm not sure what's going on in this thread, but I'll just say that I love Pearl Jam. Yellow Ledbetter is not my favorite song, though it is good.

Vedder seems like a nice guy and all, seems to have good taste in music, but I can not stand his voice for even a second

Thanks moron. At least one of will admit they rock out when they are feeling a little emotional. How do you not get choked up hearing the song Black? When the solo riff kicks in, it rips. Yellow Ledbedder just has some awesome guitar work throughout.

My wife and I had our first dance to a Pearl Jam song at our wedding. I've liked them since Ten, and honestly before I heard that album I listened to radio pop garbage. That album helped point me to more rock and eventually metal, punk and hardcore. So in that sense they will always hold a place in my heart. There was a short time when I didn't pay attention to them (No Code-era), but I've pretty much been a fan all the way through. I'm not ashamed to admit it.

We have every release. They have been collecting dust for years, but pulled them out for my long drives to and from class. Most plays thus far is 5 against one. Love that record. Rear view mirror, definitely one of the best fuck off songs ever written.

"i took a drive today
time to emancipate
i guess it was the beatings made me wise
but i'm not about to give thanks, or apologize
i couldn't breathe, holdin' me down
hand on my face, pushed to the ground
enmity gauged, united by fear
forced to endure what i could not forgive...
i seem to look away
wounds in the mirror waved
it wasn't my surface most defiled
head at your feet, fool to your crown
fist on my plate, swallowed it down
enmity gauged, united by fear
tried to endure what i could not forgive
saw things
saw things
saw things
saw things
clearer
clearer
once you, were in my...
rear view mirror...
i gather speed from you fucking with me
once and for all i'm far away
i hardly believe, finally the shades...are raised...
saw things so much clearer
once you, once you...
rear view mirror...
saw things so much clearer
once you, once you...
rear view mirror..."
