did you miss the rejected pork parts mary?

BDx13 - 7-13-2005 at 08:48 AM

scrapple is so fucking good. in my opinion, the best can be found in amish country. i go out there specifically for the flea markets and the scrapple.

Ungodly - 7-13-2005 at 09:25 AM

Seriously, I wonder if veggie scrapple exists? Soy chiorizo is the bomb.

JawnDiablo - 7-13-2005 at 09:30 AM

hell, i dont actually consider most of the ingredients to actually be meat...the corn starch is holding all the shit together...

moron - 7-13-2005 at 09:32 AM

it doesnt sound too appealing, but I'd give it a shot.

Discipline - 7-13-2005 at 09:34 AM

scrapple?????

moron - 7-13-2005 at 10:13 AM

I dont really know much about it either, but here's what I found.

BDx13 - 7-13-2005 at 10:29 AM

delicious grey meat

moron - 7-13-2005 at 10:30 AM

so the meat is actually grey? I thought that was just a black and white picture.

BDx13 - 7-13-2005 at 10:37 AM

no, it's pretty much grey before you fry it up. then it turns delicious golden brown.

Thats Life - 7-13-2005 at 10:53 AM

this stuff looks vile.

KyleOz - 7-13-2005 at 10:58 AM

Lamb meat is sometimes grey before you cook it up, like in gyros.

BDx13 - 7-13-2005 at 11:20 AM

^ exactly like that.

moron - 7-13-2005 at 11:24 AM

Do diners around here serve scrapple? I think there's a diner around the corner I can go to for lunch. I'll check it out.

BDx13 - 7-13-2005 at 11:25 AM

i've never seen scrapple on a menu here in nyc. creamed chip (which i think of as a baltimore delicacy) is also hard to come by.

Creamed chipped beef gravy is GOOD! Served over toast or fried potatoes & onions (home fries).

i used to think it was only a philly thing, but have seen it elsewhere like in jersey....
my brother in texas always brings the stuff home when he comes up to visit
he says noone down there heard of the shit, or taylor pork roll for that matter
pork roll is also awesome...a bastardized version of ham

BDx13 - 7-13-2005 at 02:58 PM

Eating PootieTang? sine your pitty on the runny kine!

JawnDiablo - 7-13-2005 at 02:59 PM

someone explain this "poutine"

Ungodly - 7-13-2005 at 03:01 PM

It has the word "scrap" as part of its name, you have to know what you are getting into...

PS Vegan poutine is yumptuous.

JawnDiablo - 7-13-2005 at 04:21 PM

it's the fine swine y'all

hollymaconmovies - 7-13-2005 at 04:26 PM

I grew up in South Jersey and scrapple was as common as bacon on our breakfast table. It does go great with ketchup. Just do yourself a favor and never read the ingredients. Otherwise, fry it up!

KyleOz - 7-13-2005 at 05:15 PM

Many nights after drinking consuming mozzarella fries with gravy is quite common. Good fucking eats.
