Devoid of comments, I'll say this...dave matthews fans will probably love this. I hate dave mattews.HATE

I think he has a very wide potential for appeal. I hear his stuff and it sounds like early Bob Dylan to me. This song is one of the happier tunes on the record. The majority of the record is very dark and angry. But if DMB fans want to dig his stuff then they should feel free to get in line cuz their money is green enough for me. :)

He should avoid some of those high notes like the plague, but I'm digging it. Way better than the Youth of Today I decided to listen to for the first time in 15 years or so (even if Youth Crew is great).

Will get the pre-order and Fourteen Stories soon.

Mark, it's more Ochs than Dylan. Dylan was poetic but incomprehensible (not just the singing, but also the point/purpose). Ochs was called a "journalist" with a guitar by Dylan. Regardless, the "new Dylan" sells a lot more copies!

You really have to see him live, his cd's don't do him justice. I already have my ticket for the show.

The high notes grow on you like the plague though. It was an enlightening moment the first time I realized how much Bryan sounds like Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden. ha. Did you listen to any of his less bouncy songs on our site? Some of them are crazy.

I'm not familiar with this Ochs guy. Is there a YouTube clip? You're right about the "new Dylan" thing though; it worked for Springsteen.

Mark, here's a few videos. Pressure Point actually covered the last one on "To Be Continued." I grabbed the pre-order and 14 Stories today. Haven't had the chance to listen to the latter, but I really like the songs on the new album.

I realize the style not be popular on this board, but that is ABSOLUTELY FUCKING AMAZING. Holy shit.

His voice makes me think of Colin Hay (Men At Work) a bit, and I am a fan of Colin's solo work so I may have to check this out.
