It is with a heavy heart that I write to you today. I have decided that the time for Refuse Resist is up. It has been a great 5 years of one hell of a
roller coaster ride.
We have played with almost all of our favorite bands from the early days with Lower Class Brats and Leftover Crack to the later more hardcore days of
Sheer Terror, Slapshot, Agnostic Front, Murphy's Law and the mighty Sick of it All. And we got to be a part of the awesome Gallery East Reunion with
DYS, Jerry's Kids, Gang Green, FU's, Slapshot and the Revilers.
Most of all we have made some great friends that I am sure we will cross paths with for the rest of our lives.
We have a few shows coming up to finish our run, culminating at our 5 year anniversary/last show at our home away from home THE MIDWAY.
Please come out and party with us a few last times.
Friday: May 4th Basement show with FU's, Psycho, Cryptics, Brunt of it and More. Basement in NH (near dover) contact us for info.
Saturday: May 5th THE MIDWAY in Jamaica Plain with For the Worse, Broken Heroes and Reason to Fight it's Cinco de Mayo AND a benefit for Trinity.
There will be raffles and one of the prizes is a skateboard signed by Paul Bearer from Sheer Terror.
Wed May 23: TBD
OUR LAST SHOW JULY 15th AT THE MIDWAY. We are playing both CDs back to back. with Opposition Rising, The Enders, Live Fast Die Fast and one more TBA.
Thanks to everyone who ever came to a show, bought a CD, pirated our stuff to others, wears a T shirt with pride.
PS if you need a bass player that is DYING to tour, contact Jamie. DAK - 4-23-2012 at 12:12 PM

That is too bad man. I know how much work you put into that band. Do you have plans for a new band?ShawnRefuse - 4-23-2012 at 03:51 PM
Chad, not right now. I need to get my art rolling and take some time off. I got too jaded with Music anyway. I need a break. But then I will put
something together. I can't lie still

Shawn, sorry to hear, but it sounds like you're focusing on priorities and looking at the big picture. Hope it works out for you.
And if that May 23rd show is somewhere reachable by Boston public transportation, I may change some travel plans and hit it up.ShawnRefuse - 4-23-2012 at 04:48 PM
It's probably at O'Brien's pub in Allston. Off the Green Line. Or a house show. Still TBD. But it will be close to there. ChadBeantown - 4-23-2012 at 04:58 PM

Roland, you are our number one fan from anywhere.
My only regrets with RR is not getting to Europe, or the west coast. Other than that, we had a good run. AND You got to see us with Sheer Terror. JawnDiablo - 4-23-2012 at 05:39 PM

Which ones would you have liked to play with that you didn't get the chance? Looking at the names mentioned I'm surprised there's any left lolMattyA - 4-23-2012 at 09:23 PM
Sad to hear this, hopefully I can make it to one of the shows. Best of luck with your art Shawn!CR83 - 4-23-2012 at 09:46 PM
This stinks. Shawn, you seem like a really great guy so I hope this brings a very positive new chapter to your life. I haven't had the privilege to
see you and your band live. I really enjoy your music so I hope its not the last we hear from you. Best of luck my friend. If you ever get to St.
Louis, MO holler at me. Colin - 4-23-2012 at 11:58 PM

Sorry for the delay, I missed this post...Blood for Blood and Cock Sparrer pretty much. Not gonna lie, would have loved to played one Dropkick or
Bosstones show at the House of Blues, but I don't think we were ever really on their radar for it. We have been so lucky and honored to play with all
the bands we have played with. ChadBeantown - 7-10-2012 at 09:19 AM
This SUNDAY at the Midway in JP!! Shawn do you have a link to buy advance tickets? I can't make it there until 5 and it will probably be sold out by
them.ShawnRefuse - 7-10-2012 at 11:24 AM
Man, we thought we had budgeted, thought we were gonna be fine to go to this, and so looking forward to it. Then the end of the week came, and we had
to cancel all kinds of plans. I hate missing shows like this. Glad it to hear what a good time it was for everyone.
