Up early on a Saturday to get my crew ready for the annual March of Dimes 5 mile walk!
As many of you know, my daughter was born extremely premature, weighing only 1.5lb when she arrived at 25 weeks. She's been through a lot, but is
fortunate to be as healthy as she is. We walk every year for the children that aren't as lucky.
Over the past seven years, our supporters have raised over $25,000 to help the March of Dimes fund research and programs that help moms have full-term
pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives.
If you're able to contribute anything, we'd love your support:
Thanks to everyone that has contributed so far! We're about half way to our goal, so if you've got a couple bucks to spare, we'd really appreciate
the support.
Saturday's walk was great - perfect weather and a great turnout. Really proud of my daughter (and my mother-in-law) for making it the full five
miles. That's asking a lot of an eight year old. Her five year old brother managed to make it about 4.5, which ain't too shabby, either.
Frist off, thank you to everyone who has contributed to Team Sadie and The March of Dimes!
Prematurity can have devastating affects on the fragile bodies of little ones. Some of the causes of prematurity are known, but many are not, and
this is why we walk.
Unfortunately, we're only about two-thirds of the way to our 2012 goal. If you can chip in a few bucks, we'd appreciate it. If you have family or
friends that might be interested, please send them this address:
