Ducky Boys have posted up a Kickstarter for their upsoming album. They have all sorts of levels from $1.00 - $150.00. For $150.00 they will write a song for you.

Anyone want to pool in some money for a Thorp Warriors Anthem? Haha.

Mark, did you work out the numbers to see what contributions you'd need to get funded? Your highest package is $150 with a max of 20 packages (for a total of $3000, which is 20% of your funding goal of $15,000). A big chunk, over a third (actually, over half), of your current pledges are at the max level. This is an amazing start, but it leaves very little room for large contributions later.

Can you add new packages for higher contributions, like a private show in the northeast? A DVD of some sort? Maybe Ian can do a BFB one, since you mentioned,

That is the one issue I am not sure how to figure out... Becasue with Kickstarter if the goal is not met then the money does nt get charged. So, I would have to round up money in hopes that it goes through and if not I would have to send it back. Also, I don't have the money to front so I would need to round it up beforehand. Unless someone else has another idea or would want to tackle handling the money... I would not mind that one bit as long as it is a long time trusted "Warrior".

Doug wrote that thing up. We have nothing coming from Blood for Blood.

People can purchase a High 5 and still give $150 if they want. We're mostly looking to pre-sell copies of the CD/LP. But we might add another option similar to the original song where Doug or I will record a cover song for you.

Kickstarter got me thinking... How about making a website called "Fuckstarter" or something of the like where people can post up pictures / teaser videos of themselves and gain funding to release different types of adult videos. Have the different levels earn you different items ($5.00 = 5 photos, $50 = 1 minute video) etc, etc. Basically so people could set a limit like "I am not willing to take my close off and finger fuck myself unless I reach my goal of $5,000).

To any lurkers, if you take this idea just give me a 2% royalty. That's all I ask.

I was increasing them by request but since I got a few requests I just increased it to +10. If I have until March to deliver them then I can do it. It will be a fun exercise too.

1. Well how long has THORP been a community like we think of it? I've been around since 2004. How about hitting on the fact that this is real and not some fly by night BS.

3. maybe some struggles we have all vented about.
4. I really think a shout outs to names or locations is a must.
5. Maybe reference some legendary threads, little corny but maybe people would get it.


Those are my ideas, but it's up to the professionals though to do there thing.

Ok, guys. I started working on this today. Since most of you guys like punk and hardcore I want to go in an opposite direction and give you guys a melancholy acoustic song. I find that things are best when ideas are simply implied in songs. I mean.... if you want me to reference the site I can but I think that would be somewhat hamfisted. Let me give you an example. In one of the new Ducky Boys songs we recorded I sing a line that says "so much has changed before the tunnel of my eyes." It implies that I have tunnel vision and only see things my way and everything is colored by my own perspective but I don't come right out and say it when you can just imply it using a well placed word.

What I'm cooking up right now is about drinking alone. What you guys do when you drink alone is your business but I've been reading this site long enough to know that most of you post here when you do that. :)

So give me some feedback and let me know if you're cool with the direction I'm heading with it. I can table this idea and basically write a Thorp Board jingle but it might be the type of thing you'll never want to hear a second time.
