thedog - 7-21-2005 at 04:51 AM

just wondering if there are any sports fans here...
favorite sports ?
favorite teams ?

JawnDiablo - 7-21-2005 at 08:20 AM

I was never into sports until my son got into them. Now we do all that stuff together
unfortunatley, living in the greater philadelphia are rooting for the home team always leads to a dissappointment
phillies baseball
eagles football
what can i do?

BDx13 - 7-21-2005 at 08:38 AM

skateboarding and snowboarding, that's it really. although last year i found myself watching football every now and again... mostly as an excuse to lay around and drink and snack all day. we even had a superbowl party - we had six guests, all of whom knew less about the sport than i do. it was actually pretty funny.

CR83 - 7-21-2005 at 08:59 AM

Hockey all the way. Been playing for 20 years and was pissed about the lockout mess. I just want hockey back on TV.

crazyfists28 - 7-21-2005 at 09:40 AM

college basketball (duke) and i must be getting old or im just a huge loser, i LOVE watching and playing golf...

serenity - 7-21-2005 at 09:55 AM

football, or soccer as you know it.

hollymaconmovies - 7-21-2005 at 10:13 AM

Baseball and mountain biking. Grew up a Phillies fan, converted to the Mets when I moved to NY. (Didn't give up on the Phills, just don't get to enough of 'em on TV).

moron - 7-21-2005 at 10:31 AM

I enjoy baseball (Red Sox and Mets), football (Giants) and hockey to some degree (Whalers RIP). Im not so into it that I know stats or know the names of all of the players or anything. Im not a fan of college sports or basketball at all.

Ungodly - 7-21-2005 at 10:40 AM

I like to fall asleep to the din of football on winter Sunday afternoons. And I love going to games at Fenway.

clevohardcore - 7-21-2005 at 11:06 AM

Cleveland Browns no matter how bad they get or in this years case BETTER. With new management and a major overhaul this year they will be FINALLY be contenders this year.

Football is great to watch with friends but sucks when your by yourself. Baseball is great either way. I played both until I discovered the freestyle biking and skateboarding and then GBH and Cromags.

As I get older I am into watching sports more and look forward to making my son a professional football player and I will make his pops rich. HAHAHA!

Seriously football players get paid wayyy to fucking much.

Thats Life - 7-21-2005 at 11:37 AM

Baseball-Yankees
Basketball-Celtics
Football-Raiders
Hockey-Sharks or Bruins

don't follow any of them closely though except baseball.

BDx13 - 7-21-2005 at 12:06 PM

baseball bores the fuck outta me. i have been watching some soccer and rugby the past year or two. i like them cause of the continuous action. ok, well, maybe not ACTION in soccer, but at least movement. i feel like in baseball i wait forever for something to happen.

clevohardcore - 7-21-2005 at 12:53 PM

CLEVELAND - Indians and I have always liked the bo-soxs since I was a kid
Browns

Never like to play or watch basketball. Hockey never did it for me and neither did soccer. Soccer is fun to play though.

SAAAAARS - 7-21-2005 at 03:14 PM

i am siked someone else likes the yankees. i love baseball and hockey is pretty alriiiiight. the rest usually bore me unless i'm actually watching them in person.

Unbound - 7-21-2005 at 04:57 PM

As dorky as it sounds, most of my sports liking comes in vitrual form. I've been a huge fan of sports games since the original NES and Blades of Steel, even before that with the Atari and Intellivision actually. But damn the sports games nowadays are amazing. NHL 2k5 ate up so much of my time that it is ridiculous. MLB2k5 is amazing too.

Discipline - 7-21-2005 at 06:48 PM

Does wrestling count? That's it fer me.

defstarsteve - 7-21-2005 at 07:36 PM

skateboarding
over 20 years of it
it saved my life

wedge - 7-21-2005 at 08:31 PM

i'm a huge hockey fan. i've been playing roller, ice and street for pretty much as far back as i can remember. since i'm from detroit, the red wings are my favorite team. i'm damn glad there's going to be some hockey this year. having no season was the worst thing ever! it really hit me during what was supposed to be the playoffs. it was like someone canceling thanksgiving or christmas.

i like watching baseball and basketball, not a huge football fan.

wedge - 7-21-2005 at 08:32 PM

i also forgot skateboarding. i dont skate anymore, but i definatly enjoy watching videos. skateboarding is what got me into punk rock.

BDx13 - 7-21-2005 at 08:59 PM

I liked watching hockey with my roommates who all played it. Been to some army hockeys games as a little tyke.

I skated like in 95 - 97 I sucked bigtime. I enjoy watching really good people skate.

thedog - 7-22-2005 at 01:28 AM

i can watch just about any football game, NFL or NCAA.
favorite teams: NFL - Titans, Eagles
NCAA - Penn State

i watch baseball too, but mostly just the Phillies games.

i also like to watch skate videos, especially older ones.

Ungodly - 7-22-2005 at 11:23 AM

I was just taking this as speactating at sports. I love playing just about any sport. My knees stink right now but normally I'd be running and skating and whatever my kooky friends wind up doing like kickball and stuff.

For mow it's just walking and swimming when I can.

JawnDiablo - 7-23-2005 at 08:48 AM

Shane - 7-25-2005 at 02:51 PM

I am a huge sports fan. Baseball, football, basketball, hockey, doesn't matter.

I'm such a huge Detroit Tigers fan, that I've considered getting a half-sleeve done on my right arm that is all Detroit Tigers themed. Would have the background of old Tigers Stadium with homeplate at my wrist and a batter(I've considered actually making it Alan Trammel, not positive though on this) hitting a homerun so the ball streak goes up my arm and is really big on my elbow, how you see most people have spiderwebs or whatever there. Would like to incorporate the Toledo Mudhens logo in there somewhere as well. You honestly don't want me to get talking about baseball, it never stops.

In terms of football, I like college football much better. Been a Michigan State Spartans fan since as far back as I can remember.

thats a very cool and original idea for a tattoo.
good luck with it, if you do decide to do it.

crazyfists28 - 7-26-2005 at 07:57 PM

tell me someone else in here likes golf besides me...anyone? c'mon

BDx13 - 7-26-2005 at 10:15 PM

i'd like to like golf, but i haven't gotten there yet. watching is funny. i love when people yell "GET IN THE HOLE!"

Six66Mike - 7-29-2005 at 12:15 AM

Definately a hockey fan. I move to Australia and hockey here is field hockey, normal hockey is referred to only as ice hockey & gets no tv coverage and minimal newspaper coverage, ie no score summaries in the aussie league, nothing about the nhl coming back & not much else. Occassionally there will be a brief summary of the Adelaide Avalanche weekend game where they beat the shit out of another team, they are top in the league and the NHL's Steve McKenna is playing here.

I hate baseball & Australia's version...cricket. Both are fucking BORING! American football is horrendous, as is aussie footy. Basketball is the only other major sport I can handle watching. Its easy to watch snooker and other billiards games on tv plus some other shit like that. But baseball, cricket and football where there is no continual action is purely fucking boring. Atleast hockey & basketball have minimal stops during the game, no 24 second play clock or 3 hour fucking games.
