Office Space: What drives me fucking nuts.

Jason the Magnificent - 1-28-2013 at 09:33 AM

I know a lot of you dudes work in offices...

When I send someone an E-mail, it's because I want to have in writing something that needs to be done...I do NOT want to call you and talk about it because there's nothing to talk about...just read the E-mail and perform the task.

Do NOT come down to me when I'm busy with something else and say "So you sent me an E-Mail about this and this?", two days later asking what it was about. The entirety of the concept was explainable in one sentence in the message...so now I have to steer off what I'm doing to open the message I sent and read it to you?

:)

Though, I know what you mean. BUT I would rather talk to someone, make sure they know what I want, then follow up with an email. Old fashioned talking is still the best.

Stupid people suck.

Often a phone or personal conversation is far superior to an E-Mail. But when someone leaves off a bit of info from a document that they have included on every other document I shouldn’t have to and don’t intend to explain to them why. I just want to shoot a quick E-Mail and get back to my own job.

I agree. It's ironic that we are in the time of data and communications, and our weakest point, as people right now, is communication.

So many morons in the workplace.

Sounds like you summed up most of my day, every day.
I prefer to talk to people as little as possible and interact to a minimum.

on a side note, I somehow got sucked into watching Dilbert on IFC for like 2 hours yesterday.

Doing Service Desk, I get this every friggin day and it drives me nuts. Especially when it's people sitting beside you.

Jason the Magnificent - 1-30-2013 at 11:19 AM

Today it's the weather. I can not take one more person telling another person what the weather is going to be like the next couple days. Who fucking cares. It's winter in Chicago...it sucks. Man up.

Jason the Magnificent - 1-30-2013 at 07:23 PM

Also...donut cutters...how the hell are you going to make 8 servings out of one donut...just eat the fucking thing and stop slicing wedges out.

Six66Mike - 1-30-2013 at 10:35 PM

haha despite flooding here nobody's really mentioned the weather to me which is good. 1-2 people asked if we lost power or anything but otherwise nothing.

People try to split donuts?

Jason the Magnificent - 1-31-2013 at 06:02 AM

Seriously...maybe its a phenomenon in my office only, but people will cut wedges out of donuts all damn day...like if you eat (8) 1/8 donuts its less calories than just eating the donut whole.

The last donut in the box and the last piece of cake will ALWAYS get this treatment...it will slowly disappear as the day goes on until theres a wedge left so small it's barely in existance...but hey...they didn't take the "last" piece so they dont have to throw the box away right?

Six66Mike - 1-31-2013 at 07:15 AM

lol that's just retarded.
