WTF? Onno passed away?

ShawnRefuse - 2-25-2013 at 02:40 PM

Just saw on the internets that I Scream/Strength Records owner Onno Cromag passed away. So bummed. He was such a great guy to talk to about hardcore and punk. He loved and supported all great music.

TJ Welch called me this afternoon to relay the sad news. Onno was an awesome guy and was the first person to give my band a chance, provided us with opportunities and support from the beginning. I consider myself fortunate to have called him friend. He will be missed.

Ahhhh, I didn't know this was you. I always thought it was your drummer.

He was very nice to RR and would give me feedback on the new stuff. A true lover of music.

Hey Shawn! Hope all is well.

Yeah, it's funny, Onno helped a LOT of bands in Boston........ from 4,000 miles away.

I can say, without hyperbole, that my life was richer having known him.

I remember chatting with Jay from Pittbull on Soulseek about old timers and he was talking about Onno. Probably the only time I actually had a chat about the guy, other than that just reading things & seeing his name everywhere. Lost a good dude who put out a lot for a long time.

RIP

I wonder if Roger Miret is still going to keep going with the label he and Onno recently started.
