i've seen a number of posts and articles go by about this dude today, but i didn;t bother to read them cause i didn't know who he was. NOW i'm reading. sorry to hear the news.

Real good dude. You know how every single one of us try really hard and front like we are individual when we carry some sort of influence from this person or that? Jason was not like that. He really walked his own road. If anything he seemed to resist everything and I can only assumed that is what led to this.
I remember running into his brother and asking about him back in 2000. He said his family hasn't heard from him in over 4 years. He left school and moved to Boston to join a folk band. I finally got in touch with him in 2004 and we caught up. Periodically keeping in touch over the last few years up until 2009 or so.

RIP J. Your friends were really proud of you.
