greedy

That will sell like hot cakes to the legions of soccer scarf wearing "lads"

If I didn't already have most of their stuff on vinyl (and I had the money for it) I would consider it.

clevohardcore - 9-28-2013 at 06:21 PM

That is a lot of money to be asking.

Especially from working class blokes! :baddevil:

I think it is cool, wouldn't buy it myself. Diehard fans and people that want the singles collections on vinyl are gonna be the ones buying this up. They are the new Kiss with all the merchandise they have, they have so much stuff it's unreal.

Definitely expensive, but how different is it from punk/oi/hardcore band labels doing pressings on 3-5 different limited edition colors to get people to pay 3-5x the usual price just to buy all the colors?

Though, in fairness, I almost bought this as a gift for a friend because she loves them: http://piratespressrecords.com/store/index.php?main_page=pro...

I can't really shit all over this since I loved the Type O Negative vinyl box set from a ways back.

Does anyone know many pressings of this are they doing? I'm willing to bet half the people who buy these are going to sit on them for a few years and then put them on Ebay for 3 times what they paid for it.

I really wanted that Type O box set but couldn't justify spending that much cash on it. Same goes for this DKM one. It would be cool to have, but not for that much cash, even if it is a limited edition.

but it doesnt even say what its limited too. it could be like 100,000 copies or something crazy like that

Dropkick Murphys To Release A Limited Edition Vinyl Box Set on November 5th

The box includes EVERY studio album. And it includes — for the first time ever on Vinyl — the full Singles Collections Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 (both on Double LP). Every album, from Do Or Die to Signed And Sealed And Blood, will be collected in a custom-designed keepsake box (complete with room to add future DKM albums!) and bundled with a 3 x 5 DKM PIRATE FLAG that we hope you’ll fly proudly.

It’s a true limited edition: 2,000 copies. That’s it. 1,000 of them will be available exclusively from DKMstore.com on GREEN vinyl. Our friends at Epitaph/Hellcat will have the other 1,000 copies, on coke bottle clear vinyl.

Wouldn't even pay that much for Slayer's Vinyl Conflict set.

Actually I probably would if I liked records, that'd be like $20 per album.

XHonusWagnerX - 9-30-2013 at 11:04 AM

I want the SLAYER box set, but I'm not interested in the DKM one.

sentrand - 9-30-2013 at 01:30 PM

if I bought one I would have to buy both. uhhhh, no!
