perhaps we can just ridicule them ?mattybar - 11-30-2013 at 09:52 AM
Hmm. What's with all the hate? Is this the B9?
It was me that posted about these guys on here originally if you look at the timeline of posts about them.
They're one of the few 'new' bands that are doing anything interesting in my opinion.BDx13 - 12-1-2013 at 05:13 PM
last thing this board needs is to try and run people off.shannonfromactivator - 12-2-2013 at 06:19 PM
once again, thanks mattybar. i dont really equate sharing an interview with spamming a message board, murk. but its fine. maybe you should just not
look at anything i post. im sure youre too busy with your TONS of practice with your band and NOT sharing YOUR interviews on this board to be worried
about my band. that goes for you too drunken monkey. i dont mind negative comments but i post for those who might take interest. Im not not going
anywhere BDx13 i like this board and i like this label. enough to not be thwarted by dudes who use the internet to be insulting from the comfort of
their own home. random - 12-2-2013 at 06:56 PM
Not trying to pick sides, but I suspect part of the "spamming" comment was due to someone with 5 posts in a year only ever posting or replying on
threads about that person's band.
The band isn't my thing, but I can see how others may be into it. Too much metal for me, even if there are parts that remind me of things like
Testament from 20 years ago that I used to dig. I've never been, but I can see Activator going over really well at Maryland Death Fest given what
I've read and linked videos I've seen on this board. I can also see them as an opener at BnB Bowl that I may not want to see but that others would be
into.
Presentation matters a bit here. The new video that Shannon posted is high quality but super cheesy. Shannon and, I think, the bass player look
fine. The guitar player and drummer look ridiculous, and the overlay of the guitar playing on top of the regular stage footage is a bad-looking
throwback to some late 1970s Black Sabbath (and not in a good way).
This Activator video has a similar sound that I would easily identify as the same band, but I think it would go over much better with some people on

umm ok well im gonna assume you guys are not coming to the show.Murk - 12-2-2013 at 08:29 PM

spot on.
not trying to chase anyone away, but Shannon was begging for feedback and he got it.
i actually think the song has some potential, but it sounds like all the band members are pulling in different directions.
it feels like there's an Outburst influence and i'm a sucker for Outburst...
i'm not not going anywhere either.
i like this board and i like this label.
i like it so much that i have been posting and reading for over 8 years.
enough to not be thwarted by dudes who use the internet to replace the hard work needed to become a good band.
try becoming part of the community instead of trying to exploit it...Murk - 12-2-2013 at 09:21 PM
