Discipline - 9-5-2014 at 11:23 AM

I've grabbed new albums from old bands, but I can't think of any newer bands I've checked out recently. As this board started slowing down, I haven't been hearing about newer stuff. The only thing that comes to mind is Bishop's Green, I was late to the party on those guys.

I'm going to recommend a label, which is Insurgence Records. They've put out records from a lot of great bands, including Bishop's Green, as well as the Prowlers, Class Assassins, Fighting Chance, Union Made, the Oppressed, etc.

Yo, Race Riot 59 has a new EP out. The band itself has been around for a little while, but since everything they've released is sick I thought I'd give people heads up.

Fighting Chance and Union Made are also great. I think there was a band prior to Union Made, most of the same members, called Fate 2 Hate.

You are correct. Fate 2 Hate were great, but I think Union Made are better. My favorite band from their roster is the Prowlers. Good old-fashioned skinhead music.

And, yeah, Union Made is GREAT!

panzerkreuzer - 9-10-2014 at 05:31 AM

i loved the class assassins back in their tko days. their first record never left my turntable for weeks. but i never checked them out after that. maybe i should change this.
bishops green are my current faves when it comes to street punk. saw them five times this year and they never disappointed. very nice guys btw.

another new hardcore band:

Second Rise of the Northstar.

So I'm assuming by the number of posts I'm not the only one whose been lurking the boards waiting for things to pick up.

CR83 - 9-10-2014 at 11:21 PM

This is all awesome. I look at all of this as new. Don't care how long the band has been around. It's new to me. This is the true value of this board. That and all the cool shits who hang here.

That one dude looks straight out of Duck Dynasty. Never heard of these guys before, but I'm digging this tune.

DaveMoral - 10-7-2014 at 04:16 PM

Yeah, I liked that.

Funny how hardcore is all about grown ass men now, not fucked up kids. Hahaha

Six66Mike - 10-8-2014 at 08:40 AM

I'm glad I'm not the only one not liking Rise of the Northstar. I heard them a while back and it was so terrible I'd forgotten all about them.

I don't imagine many people here will be into this though, band from Spain called Decadence. I have no idea what H8000 metalcore is (I guess think Goodlife Recordings early days), apparently 90's euro-metalcore (Arkangel, Congress, Liar etc). Either way they sound fucking brilliant.

http://decadence90s.bandcamp.com/

Discipline - 10-8-2014 at 02:01 PM

Decadence ain't my thing, but looking at their bandcamp page I think it's cool that they list the local scene as Southern Spain and Northern Africa. The first mention of African punk/hc I ever heard was a Facebook group for South African hardcore I came across a couple weeks back, now this. That's cool.

panzerkreuzer - 10-9-2014 at 06:01 AM

H8000 was a belgian "movement" in the nineties with bands like congress, blindfold, arkangel, liar and others. they played integrity influenced hardcore with a strong death metal edge.
the name h8000 came from the area they lived in. it was the postal code of the cities they came from.
http://www.allschools.de/blog/1151

i listen to a lot of australian stuff at the moment. their scene seems to be quite strong right now.

impact zone: straight edge skinheads with a 7". eight songs in ten minutes
http://www.impactzone.bandcamp.com

outright: aggressive hardcore with female vocals
http://outright-hc.bandcamp.com/

cold ground: more punk/ old school sound. release a split lp w/ wisdom in chains

southpaw: tough guy stuff
http://onepunchrecords.bandcamp.com/album/thats-how-we-roll

Mark Lind - 10-23-2014 at 06:55 PM

I like Noi!se, Bishops Green, Old Firm Casuals, Yellow Stiches and Bad Co. Project.

MattyA - 10-23-2014 at 09:16 PM

Man I love Yellow Stitches! Them and Lion's Law are my current favorites.

Six66Mike - 10-24-2014 at 09:19 AM

panzerkreuzer I'll have a listen, I haven't heard any of those Aussie bands lol. I live under a rock.

Relentless is playing tomorrow night with Comeback Kid, 99% sure I'm skipping it. Will go to Merauder in November with Against and some locals opening.

Survival I think is a band I saw a while back, they were really good. Relentless' last record was good, never seen them live though.

panzerkreuzer - 12-1-2014 at 03:11 PM

MattyA - 12-1-2014 at 11:51 PM

The Interrupters, great ska punk band with female vocals. Been listening to them for days.

BKT - 12-4-2014 at 12:04 PM

The new Razors In The Night album "Never Give In" is amazing.

Six66Mike - 12-6-2014 at 07:43 AM

JawnDiablo - 1-8-2015 at 04:58 PM

My wife and her friend yelled at me back during the summer because I was not into CIV.
not that I am not into CIV or dislike CIV, I just only heard that song that was on MTV and the radio in the 90s.

My wife and her yapping, she never stops yapping.

JawnDiablo - 1-8-2015 at 04:59 PM

Unrelated to any of this, but I just heard the latest Electric Wizard and really dig the sludge.
