Let's hear it fellas.

I need some new Oi music in my library.

For the classics, I'd go with this comp.

100% British Oi!

Another good one is 30 Years Of OI! - Never Surrender

The best thing to do is look at the roster of labels like Captain Oi!, Insurgence, and GMM.

For me, it's all about these bands.

The Business, Bruisers, Anti-Heros, King Size Braces, 4-Skins, Cock Sparrer, Cockney Rejects, Templars, Oxblood, Evil Conduct, Discipline, Dim's Rebellion, Angelic Upstarts, TMF, Condemned 84, Niblick Henbane, Booze & Glory, etc.

I can not agree enough with the Captain Oi recommendation. I literally (beginning in 1998 and following along ever since)? I have purchased ALMOST every single release that Captain Oi have re-released (or, in some cases? released).

Brilliant label that has resurrected SO MANY brilliant albums that would have been completely forgotten otherwise.

I would def. recommend The Templars, & as far as Oxblood? DEF. get the "Under The Boot" 7'' with Frank Bruno on vocals. That is a total CLASSIC. After he left? It was NOT the same band at all for me. In 2009, he actually returned for a 7'' called "Thug Rock Music" which I love as well.

I will admit that I listen to a lot of RAC (some of which is very "nazi" oriented...which I DO NOT listen to...shit like No Remorse for example which I think is pure garbage).....but some of the stuff is really tame on that front and I just LOVE that overall sound.

Captain Oi! are definitely helping keeping the scene alive. If I had more cash, they'd be getting regular orders from me. I just wish they put out more stuff from newer bands. They make most of their income from the re-issues, but I'd like to see them push some of the newer bands out there. The label has a dedicated following, they should use that, if only because a lot of younger people seem determined to ignore the old school school bands. They want new stuff. GMM has as solid a roster as Captain Oi!. While Captain Oi! covers the the 70's and 80's well, whereas GMM has the 90's and early 2000's covered nicely.
