I haven't bought anything in a few years now and I don't even think there's a comic shop anywhere around here if I wanted to start up again, but
here's a few favorites....
Dan Brereton for horror stuff, check out the Nocturnals.
Bob Fingerman, his book Minimum Wage is amazing and he's done a buncha dirty stuff for Penthouse, Hustler and the like (which is actually what the
story in MW is based on).
ANYTHING and EVERYTHING from Evan Dorkin. Milk & Cheese and Dork especially, but the man's a genius.
And of course, Transmetropolitan. I picked it up because the title is the same as a great old Pogues song and was immediately sucked in by the story.
The art was never all that amazing here, but the storylines are brilliant.
Damn, I just outed myself as a closet geek. I'm fucked now.....

I havent collected in years, but I was a huge fan of the reissue of old Tales From The Crypt comics, and like Honus, anything by Sam Kieth. I also
really enjoyed Faust and Tim Vigil would have to be on my list of all time favorite artists. Once McFarlane took off, they had a bunch of wannabees
flood the business, but I think Stephen Platt really stood out with his own style and had amazing detail about his work. He made Moonshadow cool
again. And lastly, there was one Batman story that really sucked me in, Ten nights of the Beast it was called, about the KGBeast, it was awesome.

I read a lot of G.I. Joe
If you want to read something really cool, look for a 6-issue series called Wanted by Mark Millar. It came out in 2004/2005. Fucking incredible.

The recent Batman series called SCRATCH by Sam Kieth was awesome! I think it was a few months ago. He also did to mini series called ZERO GIRL that
was really cool. There was another recent mini series called OJO that was eally weird, but in that classic Same Kieth way. Im not sure what else he
has done recently.
Theres a book called "The Art of Sam Kieth". I havent seen it but its like 250 pages so its probably really cool.

I haven't bought comics in years. I have three big boxes full of comics in the closet. I have a bunch of Dark Horse (Terminator, Aliens, Preditor,
Star Wars, etc) comics. Lots of X-men too.

I started with Spawn (Violater miniseries to be precise) but after the 50th issue or so I got bored with the whole superhero soap thing. After that I
only read the limited stuff. Haven't bought anything recent though. Some of my favorites:
Hellshock, Black hole, Stray bullets, Oink, Squee, Johnny the homicidal maniac, Kingdome come, Hard boiled, Prophet (Stephen Platt era), Milk &
cheese, Batman - Return of the dark knight, Batman - Arkham asylum, Signal to noise
Artists:
Dave McKean, Simon Bisley, Frank Miller, Johnen Vasquez, Bill Sienkiewicz, Mike Mignola, Sam Kieth, Geof Darrow, Frank Frazetta
I was wondering if any of the European books are making it to the States. Anyone familiar with works by people like Jean 'Moebius' Giraud, Fran?ois
Schuiten, Herg?, R?gis Loisel?
