Tous Unis is in French!! That's fucking awesome.

Good stuff. Thanks.

Voodoobillyman - 8-24-2005 at 12:20 PM

Yeah these guys are awesome, you should check out Brassknuckle Boys, if you havent already, they are one of my all time favorites!!!!! They do a rad cover of Kris Kristophersons " Sunday Morning Coming Down" made famous by the man in black..........very cool........The beer I had for breakfast wasnt bad so I had 12 more for desert.....love it:D

tireironsaint - 8-24-2005 at 01:08 PM

Pretty good stuff, the vocals remind me a bit of the Main Street Saints and believe me, that's a good thing. Now there's a band that broke up way too soon.

By the way, I have a brand new, still sealed copy of "No One Likes Us... We Don't Care" by Condemned 84 that I'm looking to sell. It's their newest album and I ended up with 2 copies. If anyone is interested I'll sell it for $14 including shipping anywhere in North America. First to pm me gets it.

Those guys are right up the road from me - seen em play so many times but honestly never could get much into em. The SMCD cover is cool though.

Main Street Saints " everybody wants to go to heaven " is one of my favorite oi cds. You are definitely right that they broke up way to soon.
Are any of them doing anything else?

I'm not sure, I heard a rumor that the singer was starting a blues band and that was part of the reason they split, but aside from that, I really haven't heard a thing.

Putting this in here once again. If no one is interested I'll just list it on ebay.

That's very nice of you to offer, but I unfortunately don't use soulseek. Thanks though.

Voodoobillyman - 8-25-2005 at 07:22 PM

just go online to hauntedtown records and look it up, you can pick it up there, along with some old bruisers stuff and t-shirts if they still offer them.

forsaken - 8-27-2005 at 03:46 AM

thats really cool, is that a good example of 'oi!'???

whats the one band that defines oi?

Voodoobillyman - 8-27-2005 at 02:46 PM

For me, the one band that defines OI in this country is of course The Bruisers. Check out the compilations by Roger Miret and Onno Cromag, they have alot of really good bands covering old Skin tunes, awesome stuff

xsharpx - 8-28-2005 at 12:52 PM

actually the band that defines oi is Forced Reality (featuring the singer of 100 Demons)... they were the influence for the bruisers but there were hundreds of bands before the bruisers came out... now when it comes to american oi the defining bands would be the bruisers, forced reality and stars and stripes.. as far as the godfathers and still reigning champs are of the course THE BUSINESS!

hollymaconmovies - 8-28-2005 at 10:32 PM

I get so lost in these labels/genres/sub genres. Oi, hardcore, metalcore, street punk, emo, pop punk, skinhead. Everyone seems to have such varying opinions on what the standards are, and which bands fall where. People have told me me DKM is skinhead, but they can't tell me exactly why. Some have told me the Unseen are hardcore, others say street punk. They could be neither for all I know. In fact, I'm not sure anyone really does know. I've decided to just stick to whether or not I like it, and let others worry about labels. :)

Many great Oi bands have been listed in this thread. But I think if I was gonna try to introduce someone to the Oi genre with the one album that they would be most likely to enjoy, I'd go with "Love Thy Neighbor" by Discipline.
