I'm impressed that anyone on B9 even knows who Swiz was. I fucking love Swiz, great fucking band.Big Ugly - 10-22-2004 at 11:54 PM
Never heard them. Where are they from?BDx13 - 10-23-2004 at 03:15 AM
Swiz started in the late 80s in DC after Shawn Brown (vocals) got booted from Dag Nasty. I saw them once or twice as a youngster. Good stuff. Don't
let the Jade Tree association fool you.
It's funny, I always thought the Dag Nasty stuff with Shawn Brown was their worst, but Swiz was so good that I can't figure it out. Just bad
chemistry, I guess.DAN SMASH - 10-23-2004 at 07:02 PM

Are you talking about Jade Tree? Swiz was released on a few different labels, Sammich and Dischord are a couple off the top of my
head that I wouldn't call "gay", well, Dischord nowadays definitely fits that term, but not back then.tireironsaint - 10-28-2004 at 02:30 AM
What can I say? I've had a soft spot for some of that old D.C. "pre-emo" stuff ever since it first came out. I love me some old Soul Side, Embrace,
Rites Of Spring, and such. I don't break it out often, but it has missed the repeated cullings of my record collection and a LOT of other stuff people
would EXPECT me to have has been sold off.
