Record Picture Thread (Tshirts too!)

People here seem to make fun of record collecting. I have a bunch of records... not much that's super special. I have a few pictures saved on my photobucket account, but I can always take some more. I dont really collect shirts... I just wear them.










I do sometimes collect several pressings/colors of records... especially of bands I really like. Sometimes I do it so I can use the extras in a future trade. Im just saying this because I know people will say that collecting is dumb... well, it is, but it's fun.

I really want that SSD 'The Kids Will Have Their Say' record!!

Heres some of my stuff......

Haven't bought or played any vinyl in probably over 10 years , and I gave a lot of the punk/hardcore vinyl albums I had in the 80's away when I got the CD's, but I have a few signed/framed albums from the 80's up on my wall that I'll take some pics of tomorrow. Not that they're rare or anything but I just liked the covers and they were special to me 'cause I met the bands and got them signed and stuff.

I'm not a hugr record nerd, I don't have more than one cover/colour of anything but I do like owning vinyl. I really do enjoy vinyl a bit more. I like lying on my bed with the artwork and lyric sheet out really listening to the record and enoying the whole package. I like the fact that you can't skip tracks easily and you learn to appreciate an entire album for it's strengths and weaknesses as a whole rather than skipping through tracks on a CD where it's easier to just listen to a couple of the strong tracks at first. Sometimes the best tracks on an album are the ones that have to grow on you. I find labels go that little bit further with vinyl packaging sometimes for example the new Everyday Dollars 7" on A389 with the 3D artwork and 3D glasses attached or the hand spraypainted Think I Care record from last year you never get that sort of stuff with CDs. I'm sure Metal and Hardcore both belong on vinyl

well its NOTHING compared to those pictures I sent you, but its a cool record to have. Its a good thing to maybe trade for something that I REALLY want someday.

I was pretty psyched to score this one. The Ill Blood LP misspress out of 50.




The Suicide File/Hope Conspiracy & The Suicide File/RnR test presses. I have almost every color of the SF/HC split minus one, but that's more rare than the test press.

Well, this is a first for me. I can't say I've ever photographed my records before. At least not for anything other than going up on ebay.

So all I have in my apartment right now are my 7"s. The ones below are pretty much either just personal favorites or reasonably old. Most were bought when originally released. Some I don't even know much about, so if you do, lemme know.


- The top Bad Religion is etched I think.
- The Better Than A Thousand is from Japan. Can't tell ya what it sounds like.
- The little fella is a Bishops 5" live promo from Chiswick.



- Next to Brujeria Marijuana is another copy of that song, but packaged with a sticker and matches.
- First pressing of the Clutch Pitchfork.



- I like the Dwarves.



- All the Edgewise Silent Rage 7"s. But does anyone care?
- Farside was awesome.
- I never got into Floorpunch.



- Grudge = hilarious.
- You should all listen to Gut Instinct (even though they spelled their own band name wrong).
- I don't know anything about these Hatebreed records.
- I also love(d) Helmet.



- Mushmouth / Skarhead split.
- Next Step Up Japanese release.
- Middle column is all Shane MacGowan's first band, The Nips.



- Top left is the first and only release from The Pogues while they were known as Pogue Mahone



- Couple of Skrewdriver 7"s (including Alabama) above Slayer.
- The original Slipknot may be worse than the current.
- Great Soundgarden remix.
- What's up with this Strife record? Anything?



- I REALLY love Tad. The orange vinyl at the bottom is a Pusmort release and probably my favorite record. It, as well as the two on the right, were among Tad's last, and in my opinion, hardest records.



- A bunch of comps. With the exception of Only The Strong, the middle column and Rebuilding, I couldn't tell you much about them.



- My most rare records. Can't touch that shit, can ya!

Im not sure how many shirts there are in there, but I would guess 150+ maybe Ill count them one day. I also have a seperate rack with shirts I collect of one band, but I keep on hangers on a rach with the hoodies and other stuff on that band.

I made a special rack out of an old broom for my hoodies. Well this is most of them I think. I have another rack devoted to one specific band and I think all the hoodies of them (about 10 total) are on the other rack. In anycase... Heres some hoodies!

Like I said i've been giving away some old vinyl so if you want it just pay shipping and it's your's. (I did check and it's not worth megabucks BTW!). If you want any of the others in the pics just say, but not the signed stuff obviously! I'm only saying this 'cause I think you're a genuine collector and not just gonna stick 'em straight up on ebay, hell I could do that myself.
