I dont like that many of the bands doing these songs, but Im a sucker for a cover version of a song I like so I might pick this up. It comes out October 18th I think.

1. Senses Fail - "Institutionalized" (Suicidal Tendencies)
2. Taking Back Sunday - "Suburban Home / I Like Food" (The Descendents)
3. Thrice - "Seeing Red / Screaming At A Wall" (Minor Threat)
4. My Chemical Romance - "Astro Zombies" (Misfits)
5. Saves The Day - "Sonic Reducer" (Dead Boys)
6. Dropkick Murphys - "Who Is Who" (Adolescents)
7. Emanuel - "Search and Destroy" (The Stooges)
8. The Bled - "House of Suffering" (Bad Brains)
9. Fall Out Boy - "Start Today" (Gorilla Biscuits)
10. Alkaline Trio - "Wash Away" (TSOL)
11. Thursday - "Ever Fallen In Love" (Buzzcocks)
12. From Autumn To Ashes - "Let's Have A War" (Fear)
13. Hot Snakes - "Time To Escape" (Government Issue)
14. Rise Against - "Fix Me" (Black Flag)

I saw Pearl Jam cover Sonic Reducer at Madison Square Garden with some members of the Buzzcocks. That was pretty damn awesome, but I love Pearl Jam. I dont think theyre too accepted around these parts.

There's a couple of songs on there I'd like to hear.

And I like Pearl Jam, too. Unfortunately, I never saw them live.

I saw Pearl JAm at the second lollapalooza and they were actually pretty good live. They ......Jammed. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Kidding aside they were pretty good live though.

Im not a fan, but they are good live. I saw them at the 2nd lollapalooza and I saw them at Rocky Point (ammusment part in RI, thats closed now). The show was...

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS - headlining
PEARL JAM - before the jeremy video
SMASHING PUMPKINS - no one knew who they were!

Rocky Point is closed??? I used to go there when I was younger. Small, but nice place.

I'm jealous.

It's good to see Government Issue get some recognition, definitely one of most underrated DC bands.

Discipline - 9-23-2005 at 07:57 PM

Looks like some good bands are being covered. Unfortunately most of the bands doing the covers lick balls. The only good band on there is DKM.

I'm a total sucker for these types of records. Not too sure about his one though considering the bands doing the covers. The Alkaline trio song should be interesting.

If you want to hear a brilliant cover cd get the Worldwide tribute to the real oi (I or II) or The world still won't listen - a tribute to the Smiths.

Discipline - 9-23-2005 at 08:27 PM

Both of the Worldwide Oi tribute discs were fucking great although the first one was vastly superior.

Voodoobillyman - 9-24-2005 at 11:45 AM

Those Cds are awesome, But you are right, the first is vastly superior to the second, I do love the Roger and the Disasters tunes on the second one though, I love that band
