Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

OUR FIRST COMMERCIAL

BDx13 - 9-30-2005 at 02:11 AM

That's right, not only have we made our first commercial, BUT it's actually going to be broadcast for most of October on MTV's "Headbanger's Ball" and Fuse TV's "Metal Asylum".

So, check out the commercial, let us know what you think, and keep your eye out for it starting next week!

Oh, and while you're sitting in front of your tv waiting to see the inaugural Thorp Records commercial in action, there's a slight chance that maybe, you might see one or two other recently released videos from Thorp being shown. I don't know, maybe this one, or it could be this one, I don't know, we'll just have to see.

Congrats.

That said, too much text that's either obscured, or moves too quickly off the screen. Just an opinion.

AWESOME!

XHonusWagnerX - 9-30-2005 at 09:20 AM

Very Cool!!

GabeTexasGAMC - 9-30-2005 at 09:28 AM

its a solid commercial.
And im sure it'll look less blurred on your tv screen.

CR83 - 9-30-2005 at 09:36 AM

I hope it really helps Thorp out. You guys deserve all the best.

GabeTexasGAMC - 9-30-2005 at 09:38 AM

dude, the only thing that helps thorp out is me wearing a cool THORP belt buckle, if i ever took it off, the company would fail, and all the bands would quit.
Trust me...
Im the only thing keeping this label together.

^ exactly what i was thinking!

moron - 9-30-2005 at 01:46 PM

that's awesome! I was actually wondering when Thorp was gonna advertise on Headbangers Ball.

XnMeX - 9-30-2005 at 02:05 PM

Is Drowningman big? I have never heard of em. Not a fan of that song either, so I never checked out any others...

*edit* I don't mean "big" as in huge, but I just mean as in any kind of following underground cuz honestly, I have never heard of them.

jonnynewbreed - 9-30-2005 at 02:17 PM

You should do a funny commercial with Andy doing his body building thing yelling at the audience and breaking stuff...that'd be cool. The catch phrase could be "Thorp Records...we're hard as fuck so bring it bitch's."

I would like to see that commercial. Or you could get two fat old hardcore guys to sumo wrestle with thorp music playing in the background and then have some one come on and say "Thorp Records...we're hard as fuck so bring it bitch's."

Just letting my creative juices flow.

jonnynewbreed - 9-30-2005 at 02:18 PM

I swear to god i'm not drunk or stoned or anything like that...just feeling a little funny today.

Discipline - 9-30-2005 at 03:46 PM

Needed a better band then Drowningman for the ad. I would have used Mad Sin, NSK, BFB, Slapshot, or even better, SHEER TERROR.

moron - 9-30-2005 at 04:15 PM

D-man is a pretty big name in underground terms, so it was a good move on Thorp's part to put them on Mtv2. They'll draw kids to the site so they can check out even better bands.

I hope we can do a commercial when the next Ducky Boys' record comes out. It could be a thirty second clip of me taking a shit and it will have our logo at the top. We'll make it dramatic though.... it will be footage of me straining to pinch one off.

That would get me to buy the album for sure.

Mark that idea is brilliant.

bystanderfanzine.com - 10-1-2005 at 05:48 PM

DAK - 10-3-2005 at 11:36 AM

Did anyone see the commercial or video. I watched some of the show. Pretty hard to watch most of the pretty boy videos on headbangers ball.

BDx13 - 10-3-2005 at 12:31 PM

DAK - 10-3-2005 at 01:09 PM
