Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

Bands you LIKE that most other people HATE

XHonusWagnerX - 9-30-2005 at 02:22 PM

OK... Lets try the exact opposite of the other thread. This is where everyone can let the skeletons out of the closet about bands that they like but everyone else hates or that they think they would get made fun of for liking.

Hell maybe you'll find a fellow closet fan of a 'bad' band!

Ok.. Ill start again:

Slipknot (yah the guys with the masks)
Alanis Morissette
Chimaira
Huey Lewis & The News
Skatenigs

KyleOz - 9-30-2005 at 02:28 PM

Pete Yorn
Eighteen Visions (wasn't too fond on vanity and obsession)
Hum
The Black Dahlia Murder
No Innocent Victim
Sensefield
Disciple AD
Zao
Fear Factory
Face to Face
Down
Cipher
Bill Perry
Candiria

It is infinite

I could probably write a novel for this posting. For some reason I've always liked a lot of different music, and even when I get into a new style, I never stop listening to the older stuff I listened to before.

Here's the laundry list:

New Found Glory
Fall Out Boy
Dashboard Confessional
Bon Jovi
Def Leppard
Alice Cooper
Blondie
Skinny Puppy
Nine Inch Nails
Poison
Korn
Slipknot
Metallica
Justin Timberlake (here's is where the homo chant starts eh?)
Eminem
Wu Tang Clan
Coldplay
The Used
Less Than Jake

Probably a shitload more too.

I'd love to see those guys. He looks like a madman.

DaveMoral - 4-6-2006 at 07:53 PM

I like alot of really corny metal... corny power metal. Rhapsody, Hammerfall, Blind Guardian, Demons & Wizards. I know there are alot of detractors of metal here... so...

I like bad vegan hardcore like Green Rage, RAID, Vegan Reich(though I don't necessarily consider VR bad persay...), Statement.

Still like Hatebreed. Terror. A-18. Rise Against. I like some of Bury Your Dead's shit. I like Throwdown.

Battlelore(super corny Lord of the Rings roleplay metal)

Hair bands, I love hair bands.
Damn Yankees
Poison
Bon Jovi I likes for time to time... reminds me of 5th grade.
The Darkness

JawnDiablo - 4-6-2006 at 08:36 PM

WASP
Lee Perry
Sean Paul
Godflesh

Yeah, for sure. I'm pretty sure they're already working on a new album too!

Colin Meloy has got an interesting voice and I just recently picked up a solo album he did of all folk covers.

He is! Trust me. I saw these guys play a small venue the size of my basement. It was intense.

You should check out 3 Inches of Blood. They've got a song called "Axes of Evil". Corny but funny.
