Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

Am I the only dude here who ever...

BDx13 - 10-10-2005 at 10:42 PM

...wore a cup to a show? Cause seriously, there was like a six year period at the peak of my dancin' days that I wore one to every show. Sounds gay till ya really think about it - testies are like the Achilles Heel in the pit.

GabeTexasGAMC - 10-11-2005 at 02:14 AM

nope.

hollymaconmovies - 10-11-2005 at 03:45 AM

Big Duane...ahahaha

You're so sensible.

XnMeX - 10-11-2005 at 07:16 AM

EVERYONE POINT AND LAUGH AT DUANE! hahahaha!

But seriously, I have heard of people doing it. Never wore one myself.

Discipline - 10-11-2005 at 09:25 AM

Never.

SAAAAARS - 10-11-2005 at 12:33 PM

i have never even heard of people doing this haha

RomanticViolence - 10-11-2005 at 01:06 PM

I agree with saaaaars...

Voodoobillyman - 10-11-2005 at 04:10 PM

I had a buddy back in the day who was height impaired and would always get roughed up so he bought a mouthgaurd and started wearing it to shows. I swear he was the first person I knew of doing this, then all of a sudden all these billy badasses started wearing them for the intimidation factor.............which didnt really work, just stupid. My friend swore by his though, it saved some of his teeth:)

clevohardcore - 10-11-2005 at 11:50 PM

I have seen leather work gloves, steeltoe boots, chairs and backpacks w/ chains and knives and brassknuckles, but never heard of someone going on the defensive and wearing a cup? ......This almost makes sense though.

SAAAAARS - 10-12-2005 at 12:20 AM

i've heard of mouth guards being worn to a show but never cups haha

BDx13 - 10-12-2005 at 12:46 AM

man, when i'm on the dance floor, i don't want anything slowing me down OR lowering my sperm count! i mean come on, with all that swinging and kicking and that move where you dance around the edge of the pit, then drop down to the ground and thrust youself backwards into the crowd? one sack-tap can lay you out for half a set! and i have a substantial pair, so they're kind of an easy target! (aren't ya glad you know that?)

I always wondered why they called you "Big Duane" !

There's a girl (May) from London who wears a hockey mask in the pit, 'cause she had her nose broken too many times or something. She's really small so I guess needs some protection.

First time I saw her was at a Slapshot show so I thought she was just getting into the whole hockey thing, but apparently she wears it all the time for crowd surfing and shit.

HO-LY SH-IT. i would fall out laughing if i saw someone wearing a hockey mask at a slapshot show. talk about wearing a band shirt to a show the band is playing!

Whats wrong with that? I wear my Donald Duck hat from disney world to Ducky Boys shows....

ok, maybe not. BUT I SHOULD!

Lucabrasi - 10-12-2005 at 06:12 PM

ive never worn one to a show but if you feel safer go for it. Plus it makes your package look bigger for all the hXc chick to look at. Its a total chick magnet!!!

Terror Aesthetic - 10-14-2005 at 03:07 AM

thats a brilliant idea... ive had a lot of broken noses and have some fucked up teeth. ive got a bum knee and ive looked like the toxic avenger a few times "especially antiseen shows back in the day when it was just crazy skinheads and toothless motherfuckers from somewhere up in the hills" but my family jewels have been largely unscathed... never too soon to be safe though. damn good idea.

xsharpx - 10-15-2005 at 06:09 PM

hahahah nah I used to do the same thing because I have gotten nailed in the nads too many times along with had teeth knocked loose, as well as knee surgery & hand surgery alreayd ... Man I feel old
