Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

Starkweather "Croatoan" 2xLP out now

GM - 10-13-2005 at 02:06 PM

Listen to Big Duane. Big Duane says: buy or be banned!

Out now on Hypertension Records:

STARKWEATHER - "Croatoan" 2xLP
STARKWEATHER has best been described as beautiful, repulsive, hateful, and soul wrenching. Combining an unparalleled level of raw emotion and dark narrative lyrical concepts with awe inspiring, eerie music that has inspired the likes of CONVERGE, OVERCAST and COALESCE; STARKWEATHER is set to release 'Croatoan', an album 2 years in the making. They?ve endured periods of dormancy, but now they have "officially" reawakened with 'Croatoan', featuring the core line up of Resmini, Forkin, and Rosa, with contributions by Liam Wilson on bass (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN) and Jim Winters on guitar (EARTH CRISIS, TURMOIL, THE PROMISE), with additional percussion provided by Tim Simmons. "Croatoan" was recorded early 2004 by Pierre Remillard (CRYPTOPSY, GORGUTS, OBLIVEON). The deluxe gatefold vinyl version features exclusive artwork by Paul Romano (MASTODON, HATE ETERNAL, EARTH). While it?s their first release in nearly a decade, it?s fresh yet vicious, kinda like a grizzly on its first hunt for food after awaking from its hibernation period.Fans of TODAY IS THE DAY, CONVERGE, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, OVERCAST and GORGUTS will rejoice.

KyleOz - 10-13-2005 at 11:27 PM

I'd prefer to deal through you then.

Just keep me in formed.

Thanks again.

BDx13 - 10-13-2005 at 11:54 PM

Oz - I'll send you rennie's email.
Todd - Do you know if the preorders shipped? Who should I contact, Jan?
Todd - Speaking of merch, did any of those shirts / hoodies make it back? I know, ask Rennie.
MrBadVibes, Todd - I will be at the show on 11.18, and OZ and MORON may be in tow.

oh, i'm coming down, i don't care. i'm gonna eat a minimum of three steaks. anyone gets out of line at the show, i'll start smackin' 'em with a hoagie. i haven't been to a proper show in philly for a long time. a few things at the troc or electric factory now and then, but that's it.

and yeah, if you don't mind looking into my preorder... or just sending me an address for someone over there.

Not looking forward to seeing people I haven't seen in years. There's a reason I haven't seen you, you dumbfucks. It just seems really retro or something to be playing there, especially in a town that has always hated us and that we have nothing to do with. I'm a whiney bitch so let's get that right out in the open. Wawawawawawa, poor me.

shits gonna rule bro
my voodoo tells me so

BDx13 - 10-14-2005 at 01:25 AM

well, you know you are always welcome for dinner with the miller family on your way to or fro. and we promise we won't hit you with hoagies. well, saide might, but that's to be expected.

honestly, i can't even remember where khyber is or what it looks like.

gavin - 10-14-2005 at 01:27 AM

i actually like the khyber right now
stacie, who books the place, is real cool
she actually has a background in punk/hardcore and is not afraid of putting on a show that might be, well ya know

we were banned from there for a time by the guy who booked before her

Hi Duane, I'm looking into it! I've learnt from experience that shipping to the US does take a long time. We're using a new distributor, looks like they're even slower....ouch! Anyway, the mailorder midgets are checking what's up with your order.

Anyway, I'm gonna make sure Todd and the rest of the hombres have some records to sell at their upcoming show, and it also looks like Very will be selling some, but these will be expensive as well.

No worries about Todd whining, at the show he'll be the good ole' jolly pimp like we've gotten to know him. Make sure they get their meats in though!!
