XnMeX - 11-2-2005 at 09:57 PM

Http://www.bfads.net leaks the sales flyers for Black Friday.

They already have a few up. Wal Mart, Sears, Radio Shack, and some others.

Good Wal Mart items:
$400 HP laptops.
$100 2gb mp3 players.
$50 Gameboy Advance SP (which I planned on buying for someone)

Thought i'd let ya know if anyone is interested.

clevohardcore - 11-3-2005 at 01:40 AM

what is this? Are these returns or can you take this into a store and buy? I assume you ahve to order through them right? Whats shipping and do they have a warranty or anything on them. I saw a couple things I would like to get but not sure..

BDx13 - 11-3-2005 at 01:43 AM

nah, that site is just a preview of what kind of deals stores will be offering on black friday. i may very well be picking up a pc, i could use a few more expenses this year!

clevohardcore - 11-3-2005 at 01:49 AM

I'm liking that toshiba 51" set. For $899 damn. Call me crazy but when is black friday? Is that the day after thanksgiving?

BDx13 - 11-3-2005 at 02:10 AM

yeah, day after thanksgiving. busiest shopping day of the year. personally, i prefer stay home and eat leftovers. predictions on the entire christmas shopping season - and subsequently, corporate profits for hte quarter - are made based on the retail performance of that one day. insane.

JawnDiablo - 11-3-2005 at 06:48 AM

i dont fuck with black friday shopping....i am usually sleeping off my thanksgiving feast waiting to have a healthy dump

crazyfists28 - 11-3-2005 at 07:57 AM

since i work for pepsi, we are out there on friday and its down right hilarious to watch people at like 5 in the morning circling the merchandise thats roped off with armed police keeping everyone in check, i stand back and watch the mayhem when they say that the sale has officially begun

I think that seeing those ads in advance is awesome so I emailed the links to a bunch of friends. I got this back from a friend that is generally in the loop about a lot of differant stuff. This is what he said....

"Those have already been exposed as not being "stolen" scans but
actually they were released so that the news outlets would show them
under the guise that they were stolen.

The media took the bait and they got loads of free advertising for
their post thanksgiving sales.

Maybe it's good to know about the sales but it's bullshit that they
were stolen in the slightest."

BDx13 - 11-3-2005 at 08:35 AM

no doubt! at the end of the day, retailers want you to buy shit, so they're probably lining up to have their ads 'stolen'!

It makes sense, but I didnt think theywould do that because now people will wait if they saw something in there thats cheaper even if they were going to buy it this week. I would somewhat doubt that it was totally true, but the person I that sent me that email is very on the ball with stuff like that. What I posted is a dirrect quote of his email, as is my signature on this board. :)

What would be great is if everyone just stayed the fuck home, but what do I know, we don't have Black Friday up here, hell, we don't even celebrate Thanksgiving on the same day. (ours was last month) Wouldn't that throw a mass panic into the moneymen?! Give them a reason to call it Black Friday.

It would never happen but it would indeed put a TON of ceo's into panic attacks and / or heart attacks.

BDx13 - 11-3-2005 at 10:49 AM

hell yeah, they would shit themselves.

actually, this site was featured on cnet.com and news.com yesterday as well.

upyerbum - 11-3-2005 at 10:50 AM

They're all in bed together.

XnMeX - 11-3-2005 at 12:32 PM

Can't wait to see the Best Buy ad's. I don't know about your area, but in my area the Best Buy gets fucking MOBBED! They have ropes going around the whole fucking store to rope off the line.

Smart way to beat the line is sometimes they have a "netflicks" offer and if you sign up, they will take you on a register in another part of the store. Worked for me once.

BDx13 - 11-3-2005 at 12:53 PM

yo, you know how to shop. i can dig it.

One thing that sucks about Best Buy's "Sales" is it's usually all "mail in rebate" crap. I hate those things. The only time they are good is 27 months down the road you get it in the mail having forgot about it / lost hope and go "Sweet! $50!)

^^^^ I am not sure about now but I bought a digital camera and surroundsound receiver 4 weeks ago and it was instant. All deals and prices. I do remember that when I got my computer 2 years ago and had 5 differnet rebates to mail in but now it's differnet I think. I could be wrong but my recent purchases were instant.

Some are instant, some are not. Instant rebates are great. I don't understand why it just isn't taken off the price and advertised as much, they have to show you some useless" instant rebate" math when they could just lower the price. I guess it is just to catch peoples attention. I see more mail in rebates than instant ones though becuse the stores prey on people not filling the form out right, not including the upc / anything else need, and the other percentage of people that the stores LOVE are the ones that don't send them in.
