I met people in Europe with DMS tattoos. Other bands that probably are affiliated AF, Murphys Law, H20, and a bunch of other NY bands but thats all an assumption.

man, kids in Europe are FASCINATED with DMS. And none of them get it at all, hence all the illegal DMS tattoos over there.
Beaner, DMS is a gang of dudes from bands you probably love and of dudes you've never heard of, that's all.

it is kinda easy to figure out being most of them reference the DMS thing 50 times on each cd....

I would argue that DMS is the most valuable brand in hardcore.

DMS and the NYHC logo's

All worth its weight in tags on shirts or street signs. Its like the term ZROCK from back in the 80's heavy metal. All you needed was a zrock bumpersticker or t-shirt and you became "metal" Whatever the case. DMS KAC FSU are a group of friends with things in common. Whatever it is is what it is.

or the early 90's and the KNAC radio Tshirts because all the Bay Area thrash bands wore them.

I dont even know what KAC is but as far as group of friends that have things in common... Im glad that my friends have more things in common with KFC, CVS, McD, BK & T.G.I. Fridays.

"Groups of Friends" with 3 letter initials scare me

Doc Martin Skins

SAAAAARS - 11-4-2005 at 11:16 PM

SKARHEAD!! haha

thedog - 11-5-2005 at 02:49 AM

there was actually an ok interview w/ Ezec about DMS
in a magazine called Mass Appeal a while back.

in there it says the Doc Marten Skins were started in queens during the late 80s
by a guy from ireland named Jere ( described as a skinhead, computer geek, graffiti artist ).

ezec also says the first DMS band was Dmize.

one strange thing from the article is.... mixed in with all the photos (mostly group shots),
there is a picture of Rev. Paul. by himself.

JawnDiablo - 11-5-2005 at 10:10 AM

yes. i also read this.
paulie was up in there, though you dont see paulie throwing out the DMS letters in every breath like some of em
