i drank some in spain that i'd got from the supermarket there. it just got me drunk and that was all. probably wasn't very good quality. i was in
slovakia this year with some friends and they were drinking that stuff every night, they described it as an extra relaxed type of drunkenness. they
had sore throats for two weeks cause it was like 60% alcohol.

we serve that stuff at the bar I work at. Tonnes of people drink it to excess and then I have to get a bussboy to clean up the vomit.
Nasty stuff.

The absinthe you buy in North America doesn't have any wormwood in it just alchohol. Its the wormwood that makes you nuts. I've heard Bulgarian
absinthe is the best, but I can't confirm that.
