MIKE TRAMP To Permanently Retire WHITE LION - Nov. 21, 2005

According to MelodicRock.com, former WHITE LION frontman Mike Tramp has issued the following statement regarding his future plans for TRAMP'S WHITE LION:

"A series of events has led me to the decision that, in today's day and age, there seems to be not enough interest to continue exploring possibilities for another tour with TRAMP'S WHITE LION. It is a shame that, aside from 30,000 people at this year's Bang Your Head festival, no other European country will see the band. I had put TRAMP'S WHITE LION together for a reason. That reason was giving the fans what they had been asking for all these years. Unfortunately, promoters are not backing this up and no one seems to be confident enough to make a leap of faith to help make this thing happen. This was my final attempt in continuing the legacy of WHITE LION. So from now on, there will be no more looking back at the past, this was the final roar. I will now focus only on my solo career and will take my time finishing my new solo album that will be released sometime next year. I will work on other ways of presenting Mike Tramp live, from intimate acoustic settings to a full band and will be touring whenever it feels right but only when all parameters are in order. Until then, enjoy TRAMP'S WHITE LION 'Rocking the USA' double album out on Frontiers Records now."

Does he really think that promoters are more likely to get behind a Mike Tramp solo tour then they are to get behind a White Lion tour?!

Just in case of you need to understand why and can read Danish......

This is the book about my life from birth until a year ago. It was written by my very close friend Lars Daneskov over the past 10 years, and as I read it, I was blown away with how much life I have lived - quite scary indeed.

UNFORTUNATELY, at this moment it is written only in Danish. It is a book that tells the story of a kid from Denmark who went out into the world to find adventure and seek his dreams. Most of you know a lot of what happened from '83 and onward, but this book has so much to do with the years before and why, when and how. It has a lot of pictures and I am very proud of it. I am looking into how to make an English version - trust me on that! It's just at this moment it's not just something I can do in a flash. For those of you "Tramp Diehards" who can't live without having one. I will have it available in the Trampshop, and you should be able to order it within 10 days, and those books will be signed by me and Lars Daneskov (the author). The book is being released on September 20th in Denmark.

That was GREAT WHITE. That was in Warwick, RI. My old band played there and I saw a bunch of shows there. The Dead Kennedys played there with Brandon Cruz singing a while before the fire.

Im not sure if the band got sued or what came of it, but they sued the 2 brothers that owned the club and they are completly bankrupt. I dont think they will get any money out of them at this point. They basicly lost everything. the place was really dusty and the stage was insulated with stuff that looked like it could have been (and obviously was) flamable. There were additional exits, but they were not well marked and some of them were for "autorized personal only" and people tend to NOT go that way no matter whats going on.

it was really sad and sucked, but its in the past. Not really anything else that can be done about it at this point. At least it forced all the other clubs in the area to update theire emergency exits, sprinklers and all that stuff.

That is a damn shame, and all they wanted to do was listen to some hair metal. What a way to go.

And made it so some talentless "bands" that use fire blowers to cover up their lack of talent were not able to use pyro anymore.
