I just wanted to thank Andy & Duane for running such a great board and a HUGE thanks to everyone that contributes here. I had kind of lost my faith in 'the scene', basicly because Im old enough to remember 'the good old days' and I just dont understand all the (sensless) violence and shit talking that goes on.

Im not a 'cool kid' because I dont know all the hip bands, I dont wear one of those damn black hats (by the way wern't those cool in like 1982, except they had 2 flaps hanging in the back just like Dusty the GI Joe character?), I have no plans to break edge, I dont get out to many shows and I only collect records of bands I actually like. Hell... not only do I not like some of the RIGHT bands... I like most of the WRONG bands!

The thing is that on this board... none of that stuff matters and I like it. This is just a cool place to read about bands, news, movies & random crap!

So... thanks everyone. Its been a great few months since I started posting and Im looking forward to a lot more great threads next year.

futher more, it's always a pleasure to hea compliment like this. while i give a lot of credit to those that post here regularly for making this board what it is, there are time when i'm amazed by the fact that we still haven't been overrun buy nonscense.

The thorp boards are indeed the finest in the business. Allot of nice really cool people on here, and thats why i stick around. This place hasnt gotten gay. Not to mention Thorp has managed to sign a shitload of really good bands in the last year or so.

i'm not seeing that. HonusWagner's first post is 12-3-2005 and Thorp's, just above yours, is 12-9-2005. Maybe it has something to do with you account being reset.
