driving in the snow....

Yah it really fucking sucks! Of course its the same shit every year. I live in new england where it snows many times every year. So why is it that during the first big snowfall everyone drives like they have never seen snow in their lives??

The people in the suv's are the worst. They think that there driving freeking plows or monster trucks and can get through anything. Then they end up being the ones driving off the road and causing the traffic backups as they get towed out of a snow bank while the people in the regular shitty small cars drive on by.

I've been on my way home for over an hour now (its usually a 35 minute drive) and I'm not even almost home yet. This sucks and is being made even worse because I really gotta take a piss!

cleveland is bad as well. LAst year on christmas I couldn't even get out of my drivway and I have a 4x4 explorer. I got stuck.

i don't like snow
and everyone in their big SUVs drive like snow nazis around here
they have no regard for smaller less capable vehicles
its funny when you see them unable to stop though
5000 lbs of truck slides pretty quick when forced to stop on a slipery road unexpectedly
i avoid snow driving whenever i can
honda civics are in no way an all terain vehicle

I saw a 18 wheeler hauling a huge gas tank on the back stuck in the snow. It was basically like this....

It was crooked like that and about 15 feet away from the road. Good thing it was a pretty plat / grassy area..... but with about 9 inches of snow on it ;) I wish I had my camera with me.

It took me about 2 hours and 15 minutes to get home (35 miles) insted of my usualy 35 minutes. Fuck Snow!

JawnDiablo - 12-9-2005 at 09:25 PM

i ditched work today because i didnt feel like dealing with the drive
the 20 mile commute ususally takes 30-35 minutes depending on traffic
in the snow , coming home a couple of years ago, it took 4 hours. fuck that

bad enough driving to one place to get to work but i go to multiple places daily so i constantly hope for accomodating weather while im driving at 4 or 5 in the morning, usual time for a plow to be out on my ass asking why is this car out here!

Not being able to get out of your driveway is a small price to pay for e-brake powerslides and reverse 180s in parking lots.
