New Years Resolutions

CR83 - 12-28-2005 at 12:30 PM

Who does them? I'm not one to resolve like this. One year I quit smoking and this year I'm going to stop drinking for about 6 months. I am in the middle of reading The Abs Diet and it is awesome. Very good common sense approach to proper nutrition.

How about all of you?

BDx13 - 12-28-2005 at 01:23 PM

i've never been much for new year's resolutions in the past, but i'm on that shit this year. my first one was to cut back on monthly expenses. my goal was to save a grand a year, and i did that no problem. i've got another big one that i'm about 85% done with, but i don't wanna get into that until it's done. given the success so far, maybe i'll revisit that whole weight and exercise thing!

moron - 12-28-2005 at 01:28 PM

I think last year I said I'd exercise more and eat right. Well, I didnt exercize much more than normal, but I guess my eating habits changed a bit because my cholesterol went down a bit.

This year I dont think Im making any sort of resolutions.

Discipline - 12-28-2005 at 01:33 PM

I'm gonna drink more.

clevohardcore - 12-28-2005 at 02:16 PM

I..........HAVE.............GOT..................TO.....................LOSE...............WEIGHT.
To many family pictures with my wife and my fat ass. To amny times me staring at my fatness all day long makes me angry. XL SHIRTS ARE BECOMING MEDIUMS. 240 lbs now and I'm 5'11" It's just not right. My fat ass gets winded when I eat. FUCK YOU COOKIES! FUCK YOU DONUTS! FUCK YOU CANDYBARS! IT'S ON YOU LOADED WITH CALORIES BITCHES!

My New Years resolution is to lose 40 pounds by years end.

serenity - 12-28-2005 at 02:28 PM

to break my edge and to start drink the pain away

JawnDiablo - 12-28-2005 at 04:20 PM

save cash
drink less
be calm
exercize

Lucabrasi - 12-28-2005 at 05:54 PM

clevo i would kill to be 240. I went on the atkins diet last year and went from 275 to 253. I then slowly went off it and BAM i gained it all back + about 50lbs! I used to be able to fit into xl shirts but now im xxl. It makes me sick to think ive let myself go this bad. So im going to lose weight in 06. I want to be down to at least 240. I am going to buy my friends nordic track and i have a weight bench in the basements im going to put back into use. Im also gonna quit smoking and taking ephedrine pills ( yea im addicted to those fucking things)

forsaken - 12-28-2005 at 06:43 PM

I actually lost 40 pounds in about 4 or 5 months just after I moved up here, but it leveled off after that and I'd like to lose another 20 or so. I'm not real big on New Years resolutions just because it seems like a dumb reason to do something, but what the hell, right?

upyerbum - 12-29-2005 at 12:43 AM

Advice for the fat bastards, run, run, run. You will shed weight like a politician sheds responsibility.

BDx13 - 12-29-2005 at 01:53 AM

i might need to swim, swim, swim. my knees can't take running.

moforn - 12-29-2005 at 01:56 AM

I'm not overweight, just really out of shape. I picked up a mountain bike a few weeks ago and have found that I'm feeling a little more alive after regularly riding.

CR83 - 12-29-2005 at 02:43 AM

Looks like getting into shape and losing weight are the most popular ideas here. Best of luck to you all. It is hard but once you commit you can stick to it. Just be smart about it and eat right. Nutrition is the real trick, not as much as the exercise. It sounds weird but if you can master the food you take in, you are all set.

upyerbum - 12-29-2005 at 04:06 AM

I have no faith in any of you and am betting you will all be Fat Bastards atn this time next nyear!!!!!aND YES SEE capslockj sorry....and yes seeing as how you are alll fat bastards that is a challenge. I fucking defy you to log on h3ere in a year and tell me you lost 50 pounds. DO IT I DARE YOU!!!!!im avbout to pass outt so happy somethinggh

JawnDiablo - 12-29-2005 at 06:23 AM

maybe the big guy (duane) can organize a Thorp boards weight loss contest, whoever loses the most weight by june gets a somethin somethin...we have one of them at my work right now, the winner gets all the cash in the kitty
i thought 2005 was gonna be my year to really get my shit together, but i ran into allot of bullshit along the way, but also had allot of fun too.
2006 will be my year to get everything straight and be healthier
that means only getting shithouse drunk one time a month....

Great Idea

jonnynewbreed - 12-29-2005 at 01:15 PM

Listening to our fat arses makes you want to loose weight. Actually The New Breed has a success story. Brian lost a bunch of weight and got all buff and shit within the last couple years. I think it must have been all the hot girls at the gym that kept him going. Good job Brian.
