I just got back also. I was thinking the same thing about the DVD version, but I did like it. I would have liked a little less plot and a little more psychological/sensless violence, but it was good.

The crowd was obnoxious and the guy behind me got about 30 messages on his SidekickII with the volume on HIGH during the movie. That part definitly sucked.

Overall I would say if you were interested in it based on the previews then go see it. It was worth the money to me.

Alright, for both of you, if that wasnt enough violence............you have issues, Yes it came late in the film, but I'm a plot guy and I thought the story itself was AMAZING in it's depravity. The mood was perfect once it got to the meat and potatoes, I havent seen a film that shocked me in a long time, and this one shocked me. Let me sum it up for those who are thinking about seeing this but are not sure.............
If you like boobies (for the fellas mostly) then the first half of this film is right up your alley, nuthin like hot Euro chicks doing nasty things. When it gets to the part you see flashes of in the adds, trust me this film is about as realistic in it's depiction of total violence as it gets without watching a real snuff film, and the whole time your wondering if places like this really exist? I have been to eastern europe and yes.......places like this could easily exist over there. My wife felt physically ill after this movie, I am not bullshitting. I cannot stress this enough, if you like gore and moody horror, GO SEE THIS, worth every penny, I would like to see it again. I agree with the DVD comment Honus and Steve made, it better be unrated, not like it could get much worse, and I want to pause on some things to get a better look.

EXCELENT FILM! But as said, I could have went for more gore. Like, the scenes you see glimpses off as the guy "goes by" (don't want to ruin anything, so I left that very broad of a description). I wish we saw more indepth versions of those scenes aka "glipses". Excelent film though, Here is my equasion for it....

I saw this last night because my girlfriend wanted to go. I fucking hate horror and gore movies...but objectively speaking I can say this was better than most of these types of overly violent movies I've seen...but I can't stand all that nasty bullshit. It makes me feel weird...I don't like to feel weird. I'd rather watch something funny instead.

but not all the hype led you to beleive.......
