Below is the recommended workout regimen for someone interested in attending Navy SEAL training (BUD/S) who does not work out regularly, this is suppose to prepare you for the 6 month course. Enjoy
As a sidenote I am no where near this level of preformance as of yet. Nor have I ever been

SWIMMING SCHEDULE I
(sidestroke with no fins 4-5 days a week)

WEEKS #1, 2: Swim continuously for 15 min.
WEEKS #3, 4: Swim continuously for 20 min.
WEEKS #5, 6: Swim continuously for 25 min.
WEEKS #7, 8: Swim continuously for 30 min.
WEEK #9: Swim continuously for 35 min.

* Note: If you have no access to a pool, ride a bicycle for twice as long as you would swim. If you do have access to a pool, swim every day available. Four to five days a week and 200 meters in one session is your initial workup goal. Also, you want to develop your sidestroke on both the left and the right side. Try to swim 50 meters in one minute or less.

That is awesome info. Those guys in the SEALs are fucking tough as shit.

You can always tell who they are on base too, they are the only guys in uniform with beards and long ass hair, theyre suppose to blend in with civilians better this way but stand out like a mother on military installations. i see those dudes running the length of our base about 3 times over daily, it's got to be at least 10 or 11 miles easy.
