Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

All in the Family 35th anniversary weekend

Voodoobillyman - 1-14-2006 at 12:49 PM

Some of the funniest shit I have seen in a long time, they are playing 24 hours round the clock for the weekend on TV land. Good episodes that you dont see in reruns very often, and commentary by the surviving cast members tonight with the 10 best episodes ever. Good stuff for you Bunker fans. When girls were girls and men were men and it was funny to call someone a spic, darkey, honky dumb pollock etc..... on national tv without the whole country collectively getting their panties in a bunch. Good old un PC sitcoms.

This is one of the very few reasons I'm missing cable. I'm gonna hafta look into seeing if they have this show on DVD or video somewhere.

Awesome. I just ordered the first and second seasons on DVD through Amazon after reading about 'em on that site. Thanks, Discipline.

For anybody else thinkin' about this, there's a deal on Amazon right now where if you buy any two MGM DVDs you get 20 bucks off your order. You have to buy 'em directly from Amazon at their slightly higher price than the new & used ones that are available, but taking off 20 bucks way more than makes up for it. Also, these DVDs qualify for the super saver free shipping this way, so even though the DVDs are $20.99 each, my whole order, shipping and everything for both the first and second season, only came to $21.98. Not too fuckin' shabby.

Thanks for the heads up on the DVDs fellas, this is one definitely worth owning. I found a used DVD of old Popeye cartoons, 40 of em on one disc for 4 bucks used lat night, so cool.

I watched some of it. I forgot how lame they got just before they ended and spun off.
