Favorite cut of meat?

jonnynewbreed - 1-15-2006 at 12:11 AM

Mine is the prime rib steak. Some would call it the Rib eye.

I like this cut of meat because it's tender and full of flavour...oh yeah and it tends to be really fatty too which only adds to the taste.

Prime rib baby, it's the only way to go.

I like a good strip steak.

Anything involving a cow.
Although a nice pork tenderloin really hits the spot.

I dont know anything about cuts of meat unfortunantly. I know I like steak, but I dont know the differances very well.

I gotta pick just one?! Then I guess I'll cheat and go with The Porterhouse - basically a filet mignon and a strip steak joined by a large T-bone.

I just ate an 8oz (we're in canada you cant get the 24 oz) NY strip at the bar my wife works at. It came with carrots, roasted potatoes and a really nice peppercorn demi glaze. Was it ever great.

I'm celebrating a great day in the studio recording some hits.

Dave - 1-16-2006 at 10:18 AM

at my work you can get whatever you want in Prime Rib, you want a 24oz, you can get a 24oz.

Voodoobillyman - 1-16-2006 at 12:16 PM

I have just started to slowly work my way back into red meat, I havent eaten beef in about 4 years, but I had shishkabobs at a friends house with marinated beef tips, and it was pretty damn good.

jonnynewbreed - 1-17-2006 at 11:50 AM

there is a place in Halifax called John Allens Steakshop. They serve black angus beef which is supposed to be the best. The wheel the whole side of beef to your table and you tell the how thick you want it cut.

Hey Dave, Sunday nights are barstaff nights there and we get half off all food.

Dave - 1-17-2006 at 11:51 AM

fuck off really?

i'm off this sunday............

upyerbum - 1-17-2006 at 12:24 PM
