Bush also blocked the outlawing of "forced disappearances". Oddly enough our Prime Minister backed him up on this. It basically amounts to kidnapping and torture. I thought that was very strange.

i haven't had time for hte news this past week, but if i heard correctly some new legislature sponsored by sen. mccain. was passed recently that banned torture of those captured by america. but aparently bush more or less said he wouldn't play along. anyone got a link for that one?
