2/3 of Americans Are overweight

CR83 - 1-25-2006 at 01:23 PM

Just read in Men's Fitness on page 70. 66% of Americans are overweight. Now technically I am overweight. I'm 5 foot 10 and 181. My ideal weight is 171. I would be so thin.

I guess I'm not surprised that we are in such shape. At least there are those of us in this forum making a change.

Keep it going everyone!

The term that always makes me laugh is "morbidly obese".
I'm not even sure what that means.

Overweight enough to be a critical hazard to your life basicly.

On the discovery channel the other night we watched one called the Half Ton Man. He was 1,067 pounds and lost like 600 pounds. It was crazy.

HOLY CRAP! How can someone get that big! I feel like shit at 209!

They had to cut a wall off of his house and haul him out. If he rolled on to his back he wouldn't have been able to breathe. It was scary. He got married at 709 and just didn't look back.
