sippers - 1-25-2006 at 09:05 PM

i recently won this on ebay, and can't find any info on this 7".the seller said it was a test, but i've heard it might be a tour press.one label has the positive force, and the other is white w/a photo of porcell, and richie glued to it.any help would be greatly appreshed.

well, the cover definitely looks like that of the second pressing PF did, but it's hard to say not seeing it in person. however, i don't think it came with an insert and that label looks kinda questionable.
another thing to consider is that a 21 year old release will definitely LOOK 21 years old - especially the cover and sleeve.

here's some more info:

so sippers, what's the deal with the record?
you think it's a boot or some kind of one off pressing?
just curious.

i was gonna hit ya back..the guy i won it off of seems legit he's sellin records for a friend.he's based outta nyc,and has a lot of serious gems up for auction..he said the other side has a positive force label on it..i seriously hope, and doubt its not a boot.seems like you'd see more up on ebay if thats the case..i asked him about the history, and he was'nt sure the guy he's selling it for is an original owner of the record..i've checked everywhere on this record, and can't find any info...

wait, the seller's username is generationnyc. so is it safe to assume he is either the owner of, or an employee at, Generation Records, the best record store in NYC? if so, then I'd say yeah, you got it from a reliable source. Good for you.

Good luck man. I've bid on so many auctions for different copies of that thing I should get one by default. Don't worry, I'm not gonna bid against you, I don't snake shit from anybody.
