Oh man, I just got Discipline's "Rejects of Society". Awesome. I'm going to get their latest. It's because of your avatar and name on the board

Great stuff man.

Glad to spread the word about such an amazing band. Their first few releases are rougher and more hardcore sounding and are fairly different from how they sound now. But it is definitely worth the money to at least buy the last 3 albums. Nice Boys Finish Last, Love Thy Neighbors, and Saints and Sinners are all incredible.

thats how i initially checked out the band as well (the avatar and whatnot) and the new album is just so damn good...i'll work my way back as well

I'm hooked. I can't stop listening to Rejects. The Astro Zombies Cover and Prison Bound covers are incredible.

Yo, Crazy Fists- Dane Cook is fucking great! His bit about how different ethnic groups get ready to fight is unforgettable.

Discipline is indeed some good stuff, although I prefer the harder stuff from the early years, it is all very good. And their names rock.

yeah dane is one of the best young comics out there right now. that bit is hilarious when seeing how he acts it out, he does everything WAY over the top and its why he's such a talent....

I just got the new album. I though I loved this band before. Holy fuck, what an amazing album. I have been listing to them for years and never seen them live, anyone on here had the pleasure of catching the live show?

MM.

Discipline - 1-28-2006 at 12:22 AM

I've never seen them live, but I love the split live album with AF, and have the dvd of the Eastpak Resistance Tour with them live. I love the shit. I write them regularly, trying to get them to play here again.

crazyfists28 - 1-28-2006 at 02:31 PM

so their older stuff is "heavier"? just curious what would be the best album to go back to since the new album is how i've come to like them....

Discipline - 1-28-2006 at 04:09 PM

Nice Boys Finish Last
Love Thy Neighbor
Saints and Sinners

or you could get Rejects of Society, which is a greatest hits kinda thing with songs from those three albums plus some b-sides and shit. Their cover of Social D's "Prison Bound" is on there (from Love Thy Neighbor) and that song alone makes it worth buying in my opinion. Fucking brilliant cover.

crazyfists28 - 1-28-2006 at 06:35 PM

very much appreciated, i was looking around on amazon and saw a bunch of stuff but its good to hear someones opinion that is reallly into them... i really liked the samples that i heard so i'll follow up with your recommendations, thanks again

check out the skinhead EP and Bulldog style, thats my favorite from them, it's heavier than the more recent stuff.

Definitely worth getting, but I prefer the last few albums over those. I had to order those two from Europe cause I couldn't find them anywhere in North America.

I would also highly recommend Working Class Heroes, their split live album with Agnostic Front. I listen to that album at least a couple of times every week.

crazyfists28 - 1-29-2006 at 12:27 PM

how long have they been around for? i see quite a few releases but they look relatively young in their recent pictures

Discipline - 1-29-2006 at 01:03 PM

They've been around for nearly 15 years. Originally they started under a different name.
