just curious if anyone picked it up and what they thought of it. i liked the stuff i heard last month when they were in town but was wondering how the album as a whole turned out...just throwing it out there

BDx13 - 1-30-2006 at 06:21 PM

is that "the beginning of the end"?
it's the only album by them i have, but haven't really listened to it yet.

crazyfists28 - 1-30-2006 at 06:34 PM

that would be the one, it just came out last week and was waiting to hear more about it....let me know if you get a chance to listen to it

clevohardcore - 1-31-2006 at 02:22 AM

I have been so busy and broke lately to even pick it up. I want to get it though. The couple demos I got of it are awsome.

DeathByForce - 1-31-2006 at 03:08 AM

Yeah, it's pretty damn good.

Definitely worth a listen.

I met them when they first played St. Louis. Amazing guys. They were great. They sounded awesome live. I bought their CD at the show and then the next one they put out. I never got into the universal release. I just don't like Sal's vocals. I will probably go buy the new one just on principle of them being great dudes.

crazyfists28 - 1-31-2006 at 03:05 PM

apparently its more of a "metal" sound than in the past based on what i've heard from a few other people but thats not a guarantee

DAK - 1-31-2006 at 03:34 PM

Very metal. ANd is voice is the same.

CR83 - 1-31-2006 at 03:45 PM

I too had heard they were going "metal". Whatever that really means. I'll always support them just because they are nice fucking guys. I'd like to see what folks think.

crazyfists28 - 1-31-2006 at 04:55 PM

im not a huge fan of the vocals but they came across alot better live so i was thinking i'd give it a shot

Discipline - 1-31-2006 at 05:19 PM

They've always had a lot of metal in their sound from what I remember.

crazyfists28 - 1-31-2006 at 07:34 PM

true dat, i just heard its more apparent, but i don't think it'll make that much of a difference, i guess that's why i'm curious as to what others think of it

Just bought this album, I had no idea it was even out. This shit is tight, metal as fuck they have changed up the sound a bit. I like that fact that there is some guitar solos in there as well, good to see when a hardcore band steps up a bit in the talkent dep.

Good album.

MM.

crazyfists28 - 2-1-2006 at 07:32 PM

i guess touring with alot of metal bands has rubbed off on them, i get to see them with god forbid very soon so this seems to go along with the fact that they are in fact .....metal at heart

geneterror - 2-3-2006 at 03:40 PM

This album is awesome. In parts it reminds me of All Out War. It is fairly metal but as someone who listens to a lot of Black and Death Metal I feel it's still a lot more hardcore than Metal. It's got the tightness and brutal edge of metal thats for sure.
All the tracks up until "We hate" are awesome but the lyrics to that songs are just so bad that it kinda puts me off. I'd still say it's an 8/10 though.
Solid! But possibly not quite as good as the last Irate CD ;)

crazyfists28 - 2-3-2006 at 03:42 PM

i guess i need to get this before tomorrow night, didn't realize the god forbid show was tomorrow, but thanks for the input....

clevohardcore - 2-3-2006 at 04:10 PM

I always liked the vocals of sworn enemy. The lyrics always sucked. I am goingot pick this is today finally.
