Miret + Insted

brooklyn - 2-11-2006 at 03:51 AM

apparently Roger Miret has recorded a project with Insted under the name The Alligators. Anybody any info?

brooklyn - 2-11-2006 at 04:12 AM

answer to my own question: www.myspace.com/thealligators

Dave - 2-11-2006 at 09:24 AM

sounds like a cool idea

clevohardcore - 2-11-2006 at 09:26 AM

WHAT WE BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

brooklyn - 2-11-2006 at 12:13 PM

and it sounds like pre-One Voice AF style

tireironsaint - 2-11-2006 at 04:25 PM

I almost didn't check this out just because Insted was so fuckin' fruity and terrible, I used to think of them as 7 Seconds lite (and not when 7 Seconds was good, either). I'm glad I went ahead and did though, this band sounds great. So much better than Insted ever was and way better than the current AF stuff.

Mute98 - 2-11-2006 at 05:13 PM

sweet!

newbreedbrian - 2-12-2006 at 12:40 AM

fuck yeah! now that's more like it. good old school hardcore there

clevohardcore - 2-12-2006 at 11:15 AM

THATS IT I NEVER HEARD SO MUCH B.S. EVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. 7 SECONDS SUCKS??????????? WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU SMOKING????

INSTED was pretty rad to by the way.

the outrage is festering into a big plate of spaghetti that I will eat tonight for dinner.

:P:P:P:P:P:P:P

im kinda blown away by these songs
im pleasently suprised

ps......i dont like ANYTHING 7 seconds ever did
sorry

tireironsaint - 2-12-2006 at 01:45 PM

Ummm, reading comprehension......
First of all, most 7 Seconds shit is pretty terrible, but I didn't even say anything about them being bad in my original post, just that Insted always sounded like a cheesier version of them at their worst. I do like some of the earliest 7 Seconds stuff, but they've always been one of those bands with hype waaaaaaaaay outta proportion to what they deserve.

Got to agree. 7 Seconds never did anything for me except make me want to listen to something else that's actually good.

tireironsaint - 2-12-2006 at 03:06 PM

Well, The Crew is a good record, aside from that there really isn't much of their stuff I can subject myself to.

clevohardcore - 10-16-2007 at 06:57 PM

OURSELVES? SOULFORCE REVOLUTION? Come on.

JawnDiablo - 10-16-2007 at 07:51 PM

i dont buy records anymore... :(

MyOwnWay - 10-16-2007 at 08:36 PM

I'm a fan of The Alligators. I think its great music and Roger sounds, well, like good ole Roger.

I will say I thought the match up of him with Insted was odd. But it worked out great.

Wow, you pick two of the worst records ever put out by a Hard Core band to try to prove those of us who don't dig 7 Seconds wrong?

MikeCore - 10-16-2007 at 11:16 PM

Wow, this is actually good :) MUCH better then the new AF or anything Roger has done say post '89. I was never a huge Insted fan but I can get into this.

it sure is. however ourselves and soulforce revolution still remain two of the shittiest wastes of vinyl ever released. if you haven't heard that era of the band, you should just to realize the pure suck that was late 80s 7 seconds. ughhh....

^^^^^^^^ Sarcasm doesn't bode well on the computer I guess. I was being funny.

brooklyn - 10-17-2007 at 01:46 AM

oooh that's my old post revived. Got the Alligators ep in the meantime and it sounds great. makes me sometimes think of AF's Victim In Pain years.

Yeah tell me about it. The first time I saw them in '89 it was during this phase and I was thoroughly disappointed. Even the old songs didn't sound good and they didn't play many of them. I saw them a couple times after that then they took a break, came back in '95 and sounded much more like the OG 7 Seconds.
