unrelated to this.... who did White Owl sing for?

JUICE MAYNE MSHC - 2-23-2006 at 11:21 AM

he played guitar in several bands...he sang on one of the tracks on Skarhead's Victory album

i don't think i have a single ablum of theirs, but i musta seen fury of five twenty times. those dudes were simultaneously at every show on the east coast - either playing, hanging out, or promoting. they'd just show up with their matching jerseys and start giving demos to everyone in the club. they worked hard and put on one hell of a show.

anyone else ever see 'em?

damn, he only sang on that one Skarhead song? That sucks! His voice on "Drugs, Money, Sex" is awesome! He should definitly be a singer!

Whos the other guy that sings on that track with Ezec?

WINTHESKIN - 2-23-2006 at 11:30 AM

yes ive seen then many times and i must say they were always some of the nicest cats to me and my boys despite their rep as troublemakers.Dont get me wrong ive seen them hand out some serious beatdowns just ask the guy who got chased out of the stone pony and thrown into the atlantic ocean. They put on 1 of the craziest live shows around.

WINTHESKIN - 2-23-2006 at 11:32 AM

there will also be a new Fury cd coming out very soon with unreleased songs and demo trax and it will also include a dvd with show highlights

JUICE MAYNE MSHC - 2-23-2006 at 11:33 AM

he might have sang in another band that wasn't as prominent, I'm not sure...I'll ask a friend who's in with those guys. But that Skarhead song is White Owl doing the "drugs" verse, Lu from SubZero doing the "money" verse, and Ezec doing the "sex" verse

THANKS!! Definitly let me know if you find out about another band that White Owl sang for too. I appreciate it. Any clue where that nick name came from?

same. they were always very cool. but if someone needed regulating, they weren't afraid. but from what i saw, the was only if someone REALLY needed regulating. And let's face it... James isn't a small dude.

I love that One Man Army lists themselves as a Christian band.

Stickman is born again these days

I saw FURY OF FIVE 1 time in Akron Ohio. with VOD and I forgot who opened. It was in 98 and the singer of the band I was in at the time got into it with a bouncer. He was asking for it but of course we backed him up. the show stopped 2 times. Both times Fury was on my fiends side asking the bouncers to "BACK THE FUCK UP AND LEAVE THEM ALONE" among other things. 3 songs in my friend jumps on stage grabs Jays of Chicos mike I forgot but started telling everyone that "everyone should jump the bouncers" and that they "do not understand hardcore" and all this bullshit. Fury was cool as could be and told the bouncers if they don't back off the show is over. After the next song my drunk on Jeiger friend got bounced out the club and I am not kidding bodyslammed onto the concrete. 2 others fought that bouncer and he eventually ran off. The 20 or so people that followed the fight outside were not let back in. the show ended early. By freind then proceeded to punch my windshield on the highway. We both got out and fought. Dude was so drunk he couldn't fight back but what the fucker did do was try to bite me and shit. Dude was out of his mind. He cleaned up and is doing good and lets jsut say not allowed to go to shows anymore.

More Fury Of Five the better I always say. Yo, BD thanks for the Video Hook up too.

I thought Fury was all finished and then Boxcutter and the whole BFL thing was up and running. I liked Ghetto Story by boxcutter with James and Mean Joe Black or Big Joe Black on vocals. I never remember Joe's real name but his vocals are SO good.

its Mad Joe Black and yes his vox are some of the best in the business in my opinion.Check out his first band Feeble if you get a chance

Fury indeed put on one hell of a live show.

Anyone go to the alive & well show in Asbury a few years back?
Fury came out and said " you know where you are? you're in New Jersey baby.... Your gonna diiiiie."
