Are you a vegetarian?

Big Ugly - 12-2-2004 at 03:32 PM

I don't care if eating meat is cruel, and I don't care that it could clog my arteries. I could have a massive heart attack that required quadruple bypass surgery. First day home I'd still be frying up some bacon. I would rather die then go vegetarian.

Jeff trhe Greek - 12-2-2004 at 03:35 PM

I'll just refer you to the donair thread.

defstarsteve - 12-2-2004 at 03:37 PM

for about 4 years now, it's not for anything other then being healthy, and it's just like edge, don't ask don't tell, don't preach, just live your life and have fun

tireironsaint - 12-2-2004 at 03:38 PM

I am and have been for a long long time now. I really could give a fuck who else is or isn't though. I'm not the young idealistic kid I was when I became a vegetarian and I'm no longer under the impression that there is anything anyone can do to save the world, but I'm not gonna make myself sick by trying to eat meat again after all this time just so some people can feel like they re-converted me or something. I didn't really like eating meat back when I did eat it anyway, it tastes like what it is, decaying flesh, and I'm not too interested in that.

BDx13 - 12-2-2004 at 04:34 PM

I definitely eat less red meat than I once did. Partially because I want to eat a little healthier, but also because I'm about five years into a sushi consumption rampage. Who knew raw fish would be so addictive? But don't get the wrong idea... the boys at Peter Luger still know me by name!

SAAAAARS - 12-2-2004 at 07:07 PM

i love meat

greg hxc - 12-2-2004 at 07:20 PM

vegan. i think it gives kids the impression i'm edge as well. until they see me walk straight into a wall with an empty bottle in my hand.

Miss Bitch - 12-2-2004 at 07:55 PM

Meat is yummy.

moron - 12-2-2004 at 09:09 PM

Well, I love this shit....

so, no.

Six66Mike - 12-2-2004 at 10:17 PM

I'm a junketarian. I eat chicken once & a while but only skinless boneless with gravy & mashed potatos. Other than that I don't think I eat meat.
Don't eat fruits or veggies either.
I'm fucked up.

Killthehumans - 12-2-2004 at 11:18 PM

I am a veg. cause i believe that if you you are going to eat meat you should be man enough to kill it yourself rather than locking up animals where they eat each others poop(can any one say mad cow)!

If it was mandatory I'd have no problem going hunting and killing for my meat. I've been to a slaughterhouse and seen what goes on, so that part wouldn't bother me either.

Killthehumans - 12-3-2004 at 12:04 PM

Yeah, i just dont like to see animals suffering,i would probally eat meat again if the animals could run around a bit and not be hooked up to machines being pumped them full of steroids and chemicals. I wish farms would be like in the old days instead of concrete pens like they have today.

RomanticViolence - 12-3-2004 at 12:10 PM

Nope

greg hxc - 12-3-2004 at 02:06 PM

i don't miss shit out here, but if i went back to st. louis i'd be struggling to not hit up white castle, steak and shake and imo's.

defstarsteve - 12-3-2004 at 02:49 PM

see if I ever go back to the west it's all about in and out for me....
damn the temptation

mmmm, got any hot sauce to go with that moron?

i was a carnivore, then i bought "to a nation of animal lovers" by conflict.
i turned herbivore because of that for around two years.
then i started contracting ( working away from home)
i had a bacon buttie, and before i knew it , i was eating meat again.

its kind of like the downward spiral with class "A" drugs, you start on the soft stuff and end up on the hard stuff ( as they would have us all believe)

bacon buttie = hash

then,

18oz rib eye (with pepper sauce) = heroin.

figure it if you can, i'm too fucked on hot wings at the moment. ;)

RomanticViolence - 4-23-2007 at 09:46 AM

I have never been to a white castle in my life :(

JawnDiablo - 4-23-2007 at 09:56 AM

Seconded. I went through a brief few months where I tried meat again a couple times... NOT impressed and I felt guilty.

DaveMoral - 4-23-2007 at 11:48 AM

I'm also seeing some faces in this threat I never did see before. Addenda to my previous post... I'm vegan only until I eat something with caesin in it... then I'd get shit from holier-than-thou vegans who haven't been nearly as long as I. That and I wear a wool scally an peacoat.

JawnDiablo - 4-23-2007 at 12:00 PM

I always laughed at those wanna be PETA punk dopes that wore leather combat boots.....

DaveMoral - 4-23-2007 at 12:02 PM

Yeah, I always laughed at the Earth Firsters that say "save a tree eat a cow" because they seem to not realize how perpetuating the animal agri business doesn't help their cause.

Go figure. I'm not proslytizing anymore so I'm a little more comfortable in my small hypocrisies.

I tend to look at it as brilliant insight into one's personal thought process.

JawnDiablo - 4-23-2007 at 03:17 PM

slow cooked ribs am good

clevohardcore - 4-23-2007 at 03:51 PM

I didn't eat meat from 93 to 97 I think. I should go back to that lifestyle I felt more in control.

I just ate 2 burgers on the grille with no bun. Only cheese and barbecue sauce. It was good but now too healthy. I need to be mroe healthy.

nice to see an old thread reborn. :P

Six66Mike - 4-23-2007 at 04:16 PM

Man talk about an old thread. I'm still a junk food addict though I've expanded my vege diet from just potatoes to include carrots now lol. I also tried cauliflower last month.
