Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

Whos the next big band to reunite?

XHonusWagnerX - 3-1-2006 at 04:20 PM

We've seen LEEWAY & BOLD get back together to play regular shows and maybe record new material.

We've seen YOUTH OF TODAY & GORILLA BISCUITS get back together to play special shows.

Im waiting on JUDGE, SIDE BY SIDE, CARNIVORE & NEGATIVE FX or LAST RIGHTS.

So who do you think is next?

RomanticViolence - 3-1-2006 at 04:49 PM

Carnivore would be nice :)

XHonusWagnerX - 3-1-2006 at 04:59 PM

I knew I liked you for some reason! A girl that likes Carnivore is fucking awesome!!

JUICE MAYNE MSHC - 3-1-2006 at 05:11 PM

Carnivore re-united at Milwaukee Metalfest 1996...I was there

Discipline - 3-1-2006 at 05:19 PM

Carnivore did a bunch of shows in the 90's.

CR83 - 3-1-2006 at 05:53 PM

Minor Threat

I don't know. Minor Threat is one of those bands I think I'd rather not see reunite. They were just so fucking good that I'd be worried they wouldn't live up to expectations. I'd rather they left their legacy intact. Negative Approach is another band I view like that.

tireironsaint - 3-1-2006 at 06:53 PM

I think seeing the guys from Minor Threat trying to play that stuff now would be painful. Can you imagine Ian's emo ass up there pretending to be pissed off about something? I could see Negative Approach a little easier, just because John Brannon still has that intensity. I don't know anything about the rest of that band though.

moron - 3-1-2006 at 06:54 PM

I saw the Circle Jerks recently. They played with the Adolescents, but I left after the Circle Jerks because it was already about 2:00 by that point and I was tired. Anyway... that was pretty cool.

I know the Descendents get together from time to time, but Ive never gotten to see them. Plus I dont like the newer albums they've come out with. Still... I'd just like to say Ive seen them.

DeathByForce - 3-1-2006 at 10:04 PM

It'd never happen.. but the full line-up for Black Flag (Rollins, Ginn, Dukowski, Dez on guitar and one of many drummers)

throw all shit aside and play a show. or MANY:cool:

I would settle for a Black Flag reunion with ANY singer!

I think that some of the next ones could really be

The Misfits with Danzig, Doyle & Robo
Negative Approach
Inside Out
Dead Kennedys

Non Punk/Hardcore related Alice In Chains is back together with a new singer.

clevohardcore - 3-1-2006 at 10:28 PM

FACE VALUE w/ erba

MISFITS - total lineup

DEAD KENNEDYS - total lineup

BLACK FLAG- total lineup

JUDGE - would be awsome

HALF LIFE - awsome

LIFE SENTENCE- I had one record I took from a radio station. The record kicked ass. Thats all I ever heard of them.

Once again, I would love to see it, but at the same time it's likely best left in the past. Expectations would be so high it would never live up.

defstarsteve - 3-1-2006 at 11:36 PM

blood for blood??????
not that they are gone, but please play more shows

MyOwnWay - 3-1-2006 at 11:56 PM

Minor Threat and Judge will never happen.... Never.

Side By Side, I would pay good money to see.

Bands that are "broken up" and have already done a reunion, I think you'll hear from again... Sheer Terror, Gorilla Biscuits, Black Train Jack, and Token Entry.

Discipline - 3-2-2006 at 12:03 AM

I don't see Sheer Terror doing another show. I wish they would but I don't see it.

Agreed. I'm still shocked they did the last two, but I really think it's been laid to rest for them now.

Discipline - 3-2-2006 at 12:05 AM

True. They're done which is both good and bad. I just really want to see Joe Coffee.

DeathByForce - 3-2-2006 at 12:23 AM

Oooh.. Sinners & Saints! haha

Discipline - 3-2-2006 at 12:29 AM

I fucking wish!

clevohardcore - 3-2-2006 at 01:20 AM

Why no JUDGE?????

Murk - 3-2-2006 at 02:29 AM

No For An Answer

XHonusWagnerX - 3-2-2006 at 06:50 AM

Underdog got back together didnt they? Did they stay together or just play a few shows?

JawnDiablo - 3-2-2006 at 08:21 AM

Judge will never reunite..are you guys kidding?
Sheer Terror ...not a chance and I was satisfied being at the final show...
Don't even ever want to see a Minor Threat reunion
My pick is

DIO

Voodoobillyman - 3-2-2006 at 10:06 AM

Sinners and Saints and Blood for Blood, time to get these things goin again.

Yep

MyOwnWay - 3-2-2006 at 10:43 AM

Mike Judge wants nothing to do with it.

Sheer Terror. Let me say this, I think they'll re-unite but will be missing one (maybe two) original members.

Underdog is still doing shows.

Gooch - 3-2-2006 at 04:12 PM

JUDGE will never happen. Mike has been asked many times, even by Porcell and he said he's not into it. I think his response was something like "I'm just not fed up anymore".

Side By Side- again, don't think it will ever happen. I know a few people who have tracked down Jules and he said they samething, not into it.

Chain of Strength is rumored to be touring Japan in a few months, seriously. I assume that will lead to at least a few US shows.

Inside Out happened once, maybe could happen again, doubt it.

Negative Approach- just go see Easy Action, I think they do 1 or 2 songs every show.

Minor Threat- will never happen and I hope it never does.

I think BURN will probably play again. They seemed to do it every 5 years.

MyOwnWay - 3-2-2006 at 07:19 PM

Oh word, u2u me how they got in touch with Jules.... Please.

Chain of strength. Already planning to happen here in the States.

Side By Side and Inside Out, dammit, I wish.

Burn, I speak with one of the dudes on a semi regular basis. It'll happen.

DaveMoral - 3-2-2006 at 07:50 PM

The other thing about a Judge reunion... Mike Judge isn't straight edge anymore... it'd be kind of weird for that dude to be shouting pissed off straight edge songs when he owns a bar.

It's kind of lame that YOT even did a reunion, as Cappo "sold out." Plus that band sucks big time.

from rumors ive heard, chain of strength werent a straightedge-band, even during the highlight of their career

Ray isnt straight edge? Who else from back in the day broke edge?

MyOwnWay - 3-2-2006 at 11:50 PM

Cappo is edge. He had some wine a few years ago in France and the scene police arrested him. He's been tried in all fifty states, found guilty, and he may never return again to Straight Edge babylon.

Chain Of Strength were considered a SXE band, but not all of them were SXE at the time.

defstarsteve - 3-2-2006 at 11:54 PM

is anyone still edge from back in the day
I can't think of anyone

Hahaha.

I think it's importnat to note that he had some wine, not to get drunk, or for any other reason other than it 'went with' the particular meal he was having.

The interview he did after BTAT broke up is rather easy to find online.

gavin - 3-3-2006 at 02:23 AM

does anyone give a crap what cappo does?
i mean he fucked up hardcore
isnt that enough?

JawnDiablo - 3-3-2006 at 08:41 AM

Who keeps track of "edge breaking"
Who cares about Ray Crappo
Oh wait....been to bridge9 once or twice...

Voodoobillyman - 3-3-2006 at 09:08 AM

Seriously, fuck Ray Crappo and all his bullshit.
