How did you go about popping the big question? Any interesting stories about it?Voodoobillyman - 3-6-2006 at 11:25 AM
Well.............I was taking my wife (soon to be fiance) up to Maine to meet my family, they didnt know I was proposing either. she knew because she
had to half coach me on what to look for when buying a diamond, I didnt know shit. Seriously if you havent yet, do your research before buying the
ring, theres alot more to look for than I thought. Anyway, i was going to propose in Maine in front of my family, well she must have been on to this
because she asked if that was my intention, and didnt like it at all. I understood and decided to do it differently. I ended up getting loaded on wine
one night right before we left for Maine with her and proposed right there in our bedroom, drunk as shit. It was pretty cool. I ended up reproposing
in a Gazebo on the coast once we got to Maine, but it was just the two of us. You never know how these things will work out, but it's a fun ride. Good
luck man.jonnynewbreed - 3-6-2006 at 03:41 PM
I proposed in our kitchen, in my underwear, with a mood ring and she still said yes. Just go ahead and do it, don't worry about the perfect starlight
moment.RomanticViolence - 3-6-2006 at 03:57 PM

I sort of proposed on the fly about 6 months after I met her. We were in this shitty suburb of Cincinati visiting a friend and the town had all these
bridal shops and stuff... so I was just like "hey, wanna get married?" We went and got a ring I could afford... white gold band with a tiny little
diamond from an earring.
Proposal was in July of '00, married in December of '00 by an ordained unitarian minister that worked at the same grocery store my wife did... and
going on 6 years later we're about to have our first child.upyerbum - 3-6-2006 at 08:16 PM
My not yet wife was house-sitting and I was back on leave (I was in an army dink back then),
I had the ring but didn't know how I was gonna ask. I had to leave for a couple hours and she mentioned she was gonna take a bath while I was gone. I
totally chickened out and left the ring box with the lid open sitting on the bathroom counter just before I left. When I came back a couple hours
later I was all shit-scared nervous and I rang the bell. She opened the door and then slammed it in my face. Then she opened it again and jumped out
and gave me a big hug. That was 16 years ago, god bless her.
