Song Help

MyOwnWay - 3-7-2006 at 05:26 PM

I posted about this a while back on another board, but I figured to give you fine Hardcore connoisseurs the opportunity to help... I'm gonna post the lyrics to the chorus of the song, and let me know if you know who it is... Your help is definitely appreciated.

Song 1.
So lost. So depressed you can feel the hurt. Lying face down in the dirt.
Nothing ever improves with age. I'm living my life in the dark, in this stage.

Song 2.
Haunted. By. Memories.
Haunted. By. Silence. (then goes into a brief whisper part, vocalist reminds me a bit of a young Lou Koller)

Song 3.
I just want to do good. "blank" will always be there.
I want to do all that I should. "cant make out the rest"

Song 4
Theres nothing I hate more, cuz I need more.
Theres nothing I need more than to hate more. (is this mucky pup?)

If it comes to you, definitely let me know. It would be a huge help. These songs have eluded me for over ten years. I got them on a mix tape and it wasnt labeled. I love the songs but dont know who it is.

Ahhh, the mighty 20 year old mixed tape. Got a few of those myself.;)

Song 2-
INSIGHT "Silent Shore" from the Only the Strong comp. Great band. I like the song a lot, but the 7" is way better. This song sort of shows the changing sound of the band that will eventually evolve into ICEBURN.

Gooch.

Just simply, Thank you.

no prob. It took me a few minutes to figure it out, then it finally hit me. Then I proceeded to fire up the old iPod and listen to that song and the 7".

Song 4 is Mucky Pup!

Its called "angry song" off of 'act of faith'

If anyone has any idea on song 1 or song 3, please speak up.

Can you give a description of song 3? Fast, slow, hard, heavy? 80s, 90s?

MyOwnWay - 3-9-2006 at 02:43 PM

Song 3 is moderately fast. If you know time signatures, most punk is in 2/4 and most rock is in 4/4. The rhythm to this song during the verse is 3/4. But breaks into a 2/4 count during the chorus. With the guitars accenting on the third count during the verse.

I would say it is late 80s early ninties. The sound resembles what some people call "youth crew". The vox remind me of a clean singing civ (GB days), but it is not GB.
