BOLD to finally record

clevohardcore - 3-10-2006 at 01:41 AM

We're finally going into the studio this weekend to lay down the beginnings of the new BOLD demo. Looks like its going to be 4 or 5 songs, to be released late this Spring. This Sunday will be drums/bass, followed by guitars/vocals next week, and mixing the week after. We've already played a couple songs live (Open Season, Don't Bury Me) and the response has been great, so we're looking forward to hearing it all tracked.

Wish us luck as we tune up our guitars and lock down our tempos to deliver you the best possible record we can. Also, keep voting for your favorite BOLD/Crippled Youth songs at our online poll. Right now we're at 7394 (as of 6pm today) total votes with a big push for CY. Europe will get their old skool fix, we promise.

Keep checkin us out as we post pics and updates over the next few weeks!!

Stay Strong...

I'm not that much either. I look forward to it but not as much as I would have 10 or 12 years ago.

Part of me preditcs a mello sound like looking back but I heard they are going to be souding like speak out. I haven't seen the reunion shows. Now that I am looking forward to is a possible tour.

i liked bold, but they seem to get a bum rap from a lot of people. not like they're dicks or people hate them, but almost like they're not taken as seriously or aren't given as much credit as other bands from that era.

It was the LOOKING BACK record. That really set people of against them. and I sort of like that record.

Looking back was a really good album I thought. The lyrics were a nice break from the usual SE stuff.

I wish them all the luck in the world. I associate some good times in my life with that band.

MM.

I remeber drinking and going to Burger King to pick up this hot chick that worked their. I used to jam out SPEAK OUT alot back then. Sitting in the parking lot with a couple friends sipping St Ides 40's in a little beige Yugo and screaming at the top of our lungs "NAILED TO THE X". That shit was some fun times.

I love singing along to straight edge songs when I'm hammered. I remember seeing Earth Crisis and yelling along with the band during the song Gemorrah's Season Ends, "I AM STRAIGHT EDGE!" I was drunk as shit and holding two tall boys in the air as I yelled. Struck me as rather funny. Not so funny to some of the 15 year old edge kids.

Good times.
