I think its a solid ass lineup. Dying to see COT again and Underdog. Last time I saw Underdog was at that Alive and Well 2 Day show in NJ.

DISTRICT 9 THOUGH IS GONNA BUST DA HOUSE DOWN!

brooklyn - 3-10-2006 at 11:21 AM

is this a 1 off CofT act??

BDx13 - 3-10-2006 at 11:30 AM

i'd like to thank black and blue for helping me relive my youth.

killing time is worth it alone. they were so fucking good at their reunion show. i'd spend that for them alone. underdog is also very exciting.

clevohardcore - 3-10-2006 at 11:35 AM

That will be an awsome show.

stateofdisgrace - 3-10-2006 at 02:02 PM

Its funny, when State Of Disgrace first started, Killing Time and us used to practice in the same place in Yonkers. They were playing and Anthony wasn't at the practice and said, "Hey if you guys know the words, go ahead and sing." Sean and Rich (Ironbound NYC, by the way) are mad cool fellas. I knew the words, but was totally intimidated ( sorry excuse for a 36 year old). They were tight as hell then and they had just started getting ready. I am dying to see them cause I missed the North Six shows.................

BDx13 - 3-10-2006 at 02:36 PM

North Six shows was rad. Also looking forward to the superbowl.

Discipline - 3-10-2006 at 04:34 PM

I don't find the lineup all that exciting. I used to love COT but I don't think it will be the same. Ezec will probably try to "gangsta" it up. I'd go for Killing Time, Murphy's Law, and maybe Underdog.

I never found Shutdown, District 9, or Indecision all that spectacular.

clevohardcore - 3-10-2006 at 04:57 PM

Distrit 9 are great. I never saw them live but the music was awsome.

crazyfists28 - 3-10-2006 at 04:59 PM

used to really dig indecision but sort of fell out of them for awhile after, still get a spin now and again

Discipline - 3-10-2006 at 05:13 PM

Never dug Indecision just cause of the vocals. Shutdown weren't bad live but his voice could get on my nerves after awhile. Just never liked District 9. Found them rather derivative.

crazyfists28 - 3-10-2006 at 05:20 PM

unorthodox from indecision was one of the first "hardcore" cds i got back when i first started listening, i liked it but i hear ya on the vocals, its not everyones cup o' tea

JUICE MAYNE MSHC - 3-10-2006 at 05:22 PM

District 9 were a great band in my opinion. They had a couple generic style songs but they also had shit that wasn't anything like other bands of the time. I'm drawing some of their new merch by the way.

thedog - 3-10-2006 at 07:55 PM

i think it should be a good show
i like shutdown (awesome live) and D9.
along with Murphys Law , Killing Time, and Underdog it should be well worth it.

Discipline - 3-10-2006 at 08:02 PM

When's the last time Shutdown even played? They fell off the radar some time ago.

Kid Ugly - 3-10-2006 at 09:22 PM

Meh. I'd only go for Murphy's Law, and they play all the time anyway.

clevohardcore - 3-10-2006 at 11:44 PM

I was never a big fan of shutdown. They road the young and generic thing but they had alot of fans. I saw them play with SIX FEET DEEP and SFD blew them off the stage.

BDx13 - 3-11-2006 at 12:07 AM

i couldn't tell ya what SHUTDOWN, DISTRICT 9, INDECISION, CROWN OF THORNZ even sound like. those were the kind of bands, i heard once, wasn't into, then never got around to listening to again. so so far, i'm pretty much going for underdog and killing time.

XHonusWagnerX - 3-11-2006 at 12:16 AM

It would be about Murphys Law, Killing Time & Underdog for me.

tireironsaint - 3-11-2006 at 01:20 AM

Yeah, Underdog, Killing Time, and Murphy's Law are the only bands worth seeing on that.

Is that the same One Man Army that used to be an Oi-ish, Street Rock type band that turned into a kind of pop punk thing? Those guys were so good on their first seven inch and album, but I really can't get into the almost Green Day sounding stuff they cranked out later on. Also, what the hell are they doing on a Hard Core fest?

Ahh, thanks for the info. I guess that makes slightly more sense, but it's pretty fuckin' stupid to rip off another band's name, especially when they have several records available and easy to find at all the big online retailers and such.

JawnDiablo - 3-11-2006 at 07:30 AM

id love to see Killing Time and Murphy's LAw at the same time...not too familiar with the other bands, never heard Crown Of Thornz stuff, only some Skarhead over the years.....how did this thing go without Madball on the bill? kinda surprised at that

they said no repeats from last year.
i dont know why?

stateofdisgrace - 3-13-2006 at 09:51 AM

I am going for District 9 (most of all, Soth Bronx yo, that's where I'm from), Crown Of Thornz, Underdog, Killing Time, Murphy's Law and One Man Army............

The rest of them I'll be at the bar drinking......................

V.O.D. lost my interest after that first full length. Indecsion was OK, Shutdown I liked but never really got into fully.

Any word on the special guest?????

XHonusWagnerX - 3-13-2006 at 09:55 AM

I would love to see a STRAIGHT AHEAD reuinion at one of these shows!

No that is a great name for James Ismeans band. That lad is a one many army and I am sure it was not a direct rip off of some fag band. He is just telling it like it is as he has always done. That band have lads from Second to None and Fury of V, pure Jersey beat down shit. They have some songs up on their my space sight if you want to hear them.

MM.

Intentional or not, it takes less than two seconds to google search a name and see if it's taken. It's fucking stupid to adopt a name without doing the research. And no, I'm not interested in checking out "Jersey beat down shit", that sounds abso-fuckin'-lutely ridiculous.

XHonusWagnerX - 3-13-2006 at 08:59 PM

It is kind of cheezy to take a name thats already a band that has something released. Its bad enough when 2 bands exist with that name and they are both relativly unknown, but when one is know its even worse.

Owen - 3-14-2006 at 12:42 AM

I can't wait to see VOD and now can't wait any longer to find out who the special guest is. Are they going to be posting the special guest on the flyer when it comes out or are they leaving it a mystery until a few days before?

No more ridiculous than being straight edge sounds to me. I was just letting people know about the band, now why not relax and have a beer.

MM.

clevohardcore - 3-15-2006 at 04:35 PM

calm down or get a xCLEVELANDBEATDOWNx Its all good on THORP. Please fellow thorpsters theres no need to be hatin on the board. Smoke some weed and take a shit or something. PEACE!

tireironsaint - 3-15-2006 at 04:43 PM

Metal Moron, why do you continue to act like an ass? You've gotten knocked down by almost every regular member of this board at least once and yet you persist in being a fucktard, please just get over your obvious issues of inadequacy.

BKT - 3-16-2006 at 02:13 PM

Really you need to chill. Weed and some beer may help you out. I am not too woried about what the people on this board have to say, as I am sure you can see. Unless of course it is info about a band that I like then I am all ears.

Keep the flame alive my straight edge brother.

MM.

tireironsaint - 3-16-2006 at 06:58 PM

Yeah, I need to chill. Why exactly do you have a problem with anyone who makes a choice for themselves about drugs and alcohol? What the fuck does my sobriety have to do with your pissy attitude? If you can't respect that then you're a worthless piece of trash. I don't have a problem with people that drink or whatever, most of my friends drink, I hang out in bars on a usual basis, the only time I pass any kind of judgement on someone is when they fuck shit up for people around them or can't respect other people's decisions. If you're so content with your own life, there should be no need for you to get all pussy-hurt about something that takes nothing away from you and has absolutely nothing to do with you.

Discipline - 3-16-2006 at 08:12 PM

The one thing I like about the sXe folks on this board is they ain't preachy about it. I don't care if people choose to be edge as long as they don't preach about. Nobody here does that, so I don't see why the guy with the misspelled name wants to start some shit.
