After hitting 17 years of sobriety at the beginning of the year, I threw it all away last night. Went to the local dive, started in with some
Guinness, followed by four quick shots and a glass of Glennfiddich. I followed that up with a couple of PBR's before hanging back for a minute or two.
I knocked over a table and ended up throwing somebody head first into the wall. It's nice to have a bar that already knows me from being the
responsible sober guy, they were lookin' out for me and let me stick around after the fight. I'm still not sure how I got home, but I'm here and I'm
heading to work in a bit. My head is surprisingly painless, but my knuckles are swollen and there's a big cut on my face. Might hafta go a little
slower next time.
